| | |  Jason Isaacs hopes to return for Deathly Hallows
In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes at the BAFTAs on Sunday, Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) spoke about his disappointment at finding he isn't in Half-Blood Prince, his hope for returning in the final film and the atmosphere on set. Quote:
"It's a source of great embitterment in the Isaacs household," he joked with RT, "but he's in Azkaban so what can you do?"
Quote:
"I hope I'm coming back for seven," Isaacs told us, "Dan's going to Broadway to do his play for a long time, so I don't know when or if I'm going to come back. But I'll be even more bitter if I don't get to return for seven!"
Quote:
"Everybody likes each other and knows each other," he said, "The whole thing goes very easily and there's none of the normal tension you have on films wondering about whether it'll work, because we know it works."

Well, Malfoy wasn't actually in the book, so we really couldn't have expected him to be in the movie....hang on, Cho Chang wasn't really in the book and SHE'S in the movie....and about half the characters that had essential parts AREN'T in the movie.....get me Central Casting, dagnabbit! And if he isn't back for DH I will be filled with vitriolic rage unlike the world has ever seen before. The last three movies have been mangled into unrecognizable facsimiles of what were amazing books. If they do that to DH, it will end the life of Harry Potter on screen on one heckuva sour note.

WHAAAATTTTTT No. The Writer's strike has delayed the script but obviously they also have to wait for the lead actor to be available. It's already been announced that production will begin in 12 months.
