Japanese publisher translates HP -

Summary:
Yuko Matsuoka, has started to translate all of the HP books

Article:

Yuko Matsuoka, the president of Say-zan-sha Publications Ltd. (a small Japanese publishing firm) got hooked on Harry Potter while in England in 1998. Matsuoka went through the process of obtaining Japanese translating rights for the entire series and is currently translating OotP herself.

OOoo...good for her! At least, she gets to read the book first as she's the one translating.

Ooh, I wish I were her! I guess I would need to learn Japanese first though...*sigh*...If J.K. Rowling ever wants her books translated into Chamorru..I am all up for it!

I thought the books were already out in Japan.

i started to translate it myself in spanish for my sister (she can't speak english), but it was a hard job and i left it................
