J.K. Rowling's 'C.B. Strike' coming to Cinemax in U.S. in June, BBC this February
Cinemax announced that it will air the seven-part C.B. Strike starting this June in the United States, as announced in the preview below. The television series will be the adaptation of J.K. Rowling and Robert Galbraith's novels The Cuckoo's Calling, The Silkworm, and Career of Evil.
The BBC also announced that the third installment of the saga, Career of Evil, will broadcast in the UK sometime this February. No word yet on the exact dates of the two-part current finale of the crime novels.
Following The Cuckoo’s Calling and The Silkworm, we return to Strike’s tiny office in London’s Denmark Street for the third instalment to the series based on the novels by JK Rowling, written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger reprise their roles as war veteran turned private investigator Cormoran Strike, and his trusty assistant Robin Ellacott.
Both Strike and Robin’s lives are sent into disarray when a dismembered leg is sent to the office, and they’re forced to confront ghosts from the past. The tension in the duo’s partnership reaches breaking point as Robin’s wedding approaches and they disagree about how to ensnare a man who abuses children. Premieres February on BBC One in the UK, then Cinemax in the US and Canada (Credit: BBC One)
