J.K. Rowling has written a foreword for Harry, A History: The True Story of a Boy Wizard, His Fans, and Life Inside the Harry Potter Phenomenon, a book on fandom written by Melissa Anelli.

I knew she was writing a foreword to Melissa's book and, boy, does that lend a whopping handful of legitimacy to the entire project!! I love Leaky Cauldron as much as I do this website, but my hat is certainly off to Melissa A!!!

I'd love to read that foreword. And books on things such as Fandoms fasinate me, but I'd like to know the author's opinion on them before I go and buy that book.

I just noticed that it says she's the webmisstress of The Leaky Cauldron. So I think I'll be getting that.

This book will be a great read!

I remember when Melissa announced she was writing this book a year and a half ago. It sounded interesting then, but now that we've heard more information about it, it just sounds so cool. Melissa said she interviewed Jo in her home in Edinburgh for this book too, so we get a brand new interview from her as well. I have a feeling this book will make me cry just because it's all about this amazing fandom.
