There is nothing to be ashamed of, one can't help what they feel. It's good to know there are people out there, wonderful fantastic people and role models, willing to admit that they go through things like that, like everyday people. Good for you, Jo. :D |
that is really good that she came out with that sause its hard to do that. Plus it offers a little ray of sunshine to others battling with this horrible disease. |
its incredibly brave of JKR to be honest about all this. god knows more than half this planet suffers from at least one form of depression but doesnt know and/or doesnt seek help for it. |
JK must be a really brave woman to get out of depression then be able to talk about it in an interview! I'd never do that. |
Coolness! Joanne is brilliant! |
Yey! Go Jo :glomp: |
I have sooo much respect for her ! |
Jo's right, nothing to be ashamed of. Good thing she did overcome it She was really brave, talking about it freely like that |
Wow. I never know she suffered with the depression, let alone had thought about suicide. It's great that she is talking about it; hopefully, it will help others suffering with it to get help. She's very brave and definately someone to look up to. |
Aww, go Jo. We're all so proud of you. :loved: |
I know how she feels. Depression is a hard thing to bounce back from. It took five years for my depression stage to end and i thought about suicide but I never tried to commit it. I'm Glad she was able to overcome it. She really is an insperational person. |
Wow, that's amazing! I'm so glad she got out of depression! |
thats really brave to admit, and its just another reason for people to admire her :D |
that was an interesting read |
Jo Rocks!!! To come out and openly tell the world things like that takes guts... She's an example to us all that even if things are going bad keep reaching for the stars and one day we might just touch them.... x |
Been there and done that, and it's a feeling I wouldn't wish on my worst enemies. You feel so isolated and alone, you feel like nobody else could possibly understand what you're going through, even though in the back of your head you know it's not true. The panic attacks, the feeling you'll never see the llight at the end of the tunnel. I'm glad she was able to pull through it. For some of us tho, medicine is the only thing to control it. Thanks to my mother's lovely genes, almost every women on her side of the family takes paroxitene, mom and myself included. (I'm glib, Tom Cruise, deal with it!) It's a shame not everyone has the support system they need to help...and believe me, it seriously helps. |
i'm depressed, too. i need more voldemort! |
awesome interview! |
