Thousands of copies of J.K. Rowling’s Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them were stolen from a recycling plant in Port Talbot in Wales. Proceeds from sale of the set of books go to the charity Comic Relief, and these particular 3,000 copies were due to be recycled because they didn’t sell.
Police believe the thieves will try to sell the books on the street. | |

Rubbish thieves...They shouldn't do that. It's very rare at here. I love the books, and they shouldn't steal it.

I dont know why people are soo idiotic as to throw away a book if i was the owner of the store i would of donated it but i guess theres people who dont like giving without recieving thats really sad

Because of their popularity, there will be a big investigation, someone will be arrested, tried, and found guilty. How much time and money will be spent is anyones guess. I think it would be better spent getting real bad guys off the street.

Shnikeys! Me personally, I'm kinda glad to see that they were stolen rather than destroyed. If one of those books is given to a child that cannot read, and it inspires that one child to learn and grow and perhaps become one of the great authors of our children's generation, then Kudo's to the robbers! No book should be destroyed. I got 2 of my H.P. books at a book sale our local library held. Each hardback book was $1.00.

Personally I think the robbers were trying to salvage them why destroy something that is now so rare to find. They hopefully will end up donated somewhere or listed on ebay, lol! I had duplicates of them and sold my extra set on ebay for like $5.00. Still if I can't sell my duplicate items of anything I ALWAYS donate toys to charity, books to the library and my extra theatrical scripts back to the local community theatre.

Yes! it's incredible that those things happen in the middle of Wales!!I have both of the two books mentioned and I think that they can't be destroyed. First of all, because of the containing, I know is all fiction,but is Harry's world and it's very funny learn things like this ones(for example: the Quidditch never exists,but his rules are wonderful)
