Katie Couric previously announced on her show that she was to interview J.K.Rowling.
The interview is scheduled to be aired on the week of the ' Half-Blood Prince' release, on either the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
However, a different source claimed that the interview would air on July 18th, so nothing is official yet.
A Harry Potter themed week will feature on the 'Today' Show starting on July 11th.

I hope thay have something on UK tv because we hardly ever get good stuff aired here. Well maybe i miss it, but it still aint fair to us as we're the country it all started in! I remember they had a interview with JK on tv before OotP was out.

Ah! I'm going to be in Alaska! Now I'm not only missing the release of the most anticipated book EVER, but I'm going to miss the interview that I've been shivering with excitment for for weeks! You know, there are sometimes when you have to wonder if there isn't someone sabatoging your life...
Just kidding. I know I'll have fun in Alaska--but really? Why in July? Please just a few days earlier!!!!

ohhhh i hope its on before the book is released, because after i'll be away at acting camp and wont have a television..hopefully if it is, someone will put it online because i'll have my laptop

^There are loads of people who have read the books that still swear up and down that Harry and Hermione will get together.
I don't think JK is going to give anything "spoilery" to Katie Couric. You know how secretive JK is, and she's not going to tell an American something like that. Plus, seeing as this interview is being taken around now, that means Couric, and whatever cameramen are there will be walking around with spoilers for a month. That's a risk I don't think JK is going to take. Then again, it might not be anything big, maybe stuff that we, the internet community have heard, but the other Muggles across the US haven't.
Who knows?
