Further details about the ITV interview with J.K.Rowling have emerged. The four candidates, who will compete for the prize interview on Sunday, have been named. They are, as follows:

Kallum Peel, 11, from Bradford
Lily Adams, 10, from Bournemouth
Owen Jones, 14, from Cardiff
Helen Carron, 13, from Liverpool

Details have also been announced in regards to when the interview will be aired on TV.

'Harry Potter at the Castle' will feature highlights of the Friday night, along with the competition winner's journey and their exclusive interview with J.K. Rowling. This will be aired by ITV1 on July 17th between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.

ITV will be airing three Potter themed shows over the next week or so. The following is a collective list of what we already know about the programmes.

1) 'Harry Potter at the Castle: The Quest for the Ultimate Potter Fan' - this will feature the four above finalists competing in a quiz-like show, to win the prize of interviewing J.K.Rowling on national TV. It will be aired by ITV1 on July 10th (Sunday) at 5:15pm.

2) 'Harry Potter at the Castle: Magic at Midnight' - this will feature a photocall with J.K.Rowling. The live show will also broadcast the 'Half-Blood Prince' midnight reading from Edinburgh Castle. It will be aired by ITV1 on July 15th/16th (Friday/Saturday) from 11:45pm.

3) 'Harry Potter at the Castle' - this will feature highlights of the Friday night, along with the competition winner's journey and their exclusive interview with J.K. Rowling. It will be aired by ITV1 on July 17th between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.

Now I really miss being in the UK. Yet would I skip getting my book at midnight to watch on TV? Chances are I would not. So I'll read about here and read the HBP at midnight.

Good luck to the final four. Enjoy it to it's fullest.

why show it at 11.45when mosxt fans like myself will be buyign the book in the shops and wont be at home watching the TV

It'll make it's way on the net anyway. I'm going to tape it while I'm gone, watch it and then read. The other two (quiz show and interview) will be easier to watch.

Because that's when the event is happening. Like I said, I imagine most book stores will have to a TV anyway so they can tune into the show.

And none of this comes to DK...therefore I'm glad some people will probably upload it so the rest of the world can watch it...while or after reading the book....
