The Associated Press reports that J.K. Rowling is one of many celebrities to donate money to the Burma relief fund, to help the victims of the recent cyclone. Other donatees include the Queen of Britain and Bill Gates. Quote:
Britain's Disasters Emergency Committee — a consortium of 13 humanitarian aid agencies — says Queen Elizabeth II and Harry Potter author Rowling both contributed "significant donations" to Myanmar relief.

Burma... isnt that the place with the militia thing and them blocking relief aid so nothing gets to its people? i know its a decent act to donate but throwing money their way isnt addressing the real problem.
