J.K. Rowling herself had nothing but praise for the three actors playing her leads in the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child plays - Jamie Parker as Harry Potter; Poppy Miller as Ginny Potter; and Sam Clemmett as Albus Potter.
The plays released the
first look at the Wizarding World's first family on Monday, and the author of the series was elated at their casting. Pottermore revealed that the second of three new family sets (presumably either the Weasleys or Malfoys families) will be released on Tuesday morning
Quote:
J.K. Rowling on Jamie Parker as Harry Potter: ‘He simply is Harry now. There's a kind of relief in watching him, he gets it so right.’
J.K. Rowling on Poppy Miller as Ginny Potter: I think a lot of people would like to have Poppy's Ginny for a mother. Kind and cool, exactly as I imagined her.’
J.K. Rowling on Sam Clemmett as Albus Potter: ’There's much I could say about Sam-as-Albus, but we'd be into spoiler territory so quickly I'll just say we couldn't have cast better.’
Up next are thoughts on the three actors and their taking on such iconic roles.
