[img]http://www.snitchseeker.com/images/news/columbus_80.jpg' align='middle'> HPPS on ABC will have extra footage - Summary:
Chris Coloumbus has gone back and added 20 minutes of extra footage to HPPS Article:
Wizardnews had this information Quote: Although we have been expecting that ABC would show the extra scenes from the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone DVD as interstitial elements within the movie presentation on May 9, an article today on the Video Store Magazine Online web site quotes a Warner Bros. spokesperson as saying that the extra scenes have actually been edited into the movie, creating a new, never before seen Extended Edition of Sorcerer's Stone.
The article says:
"Director Chris Columbus went back and added 20 minutes of footage to the actual [2001 Sorcerer's Stone] movie," said a Warner Bros. spokesperson. "It will be the first time the movie has been seen this way."
This is the only article that we've seen in the past few weeks which has mentioned that the DVD extras have actually been edited back into the movie, as we believe they should have been in the first place. They do quote a Warner Bros. spokesperson as actually saying so, though, so we'd think this is likely true.
This is exciting news. Get those VCR's ready for May 9! |

Wow, now I really wish it would air here, it seems like quite an event.
Thanx Lozz for telling us that, But now it's made me all the more jealous of people in America.

I've already got my VCR set (and my mother and aunt will be recording, too- just in case). I'm so paranoid!

I hope when Mike Newell directs GoF, 'cause he's British, he does the same thing with his film and allows only the Brits to view it I'm sick of seeing nothing to do with HP on our screens!

Even being a British film, they still play the cool stuff in America first. Not fair.

Perhaps I can try and figure out how to record from my vcr to my computer so I can get it to you guys.... (cause the vcr tapes from here won't work for you)
I also think it is ridiculous that they would air something like that over here and not in the UK where it belongs. I expect it will air over there eventually... but I still think you should have gotten to see it first (or at least at the same time).

Probably on SKY BoX Office, which is one, really expensive cable and two, you have to pay extra on top of to watch films, through your digital TV.
British television really bites at times.
