Harry Potter's Dumbledore & Voldemort featured on limited-edition Royal Mail stamps
Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort have been immortalised in a new limited-edition Magical Realms collection set of official stamps from the UK's Royal Mail, along with other fantasy literary characters like the White Witch and Aslan the lion from CS Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia, Merlin and Morgana from the tales of King Arthur, and Rincewind and Nanny Ogg from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. The set of stamps have been issued at midnight GMT, March 8, 2011. Previews of the Harry Potter first-class stamps, featuring images of Michael Gambon as Dumbledore and Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort from Order of the Phoenix, can be seen here.
On why they were chosen, a Royal Mail spokesman said, “They’re a magical tribute to some of our legends of literature.”
I just ordered these from Royal Mail I live in the US and had no problem...well once I learned how to do the phone number when I registered-LOL, placing the order. I checked with a currency converter and the US dollars is about $4.80 for the set...their price was 2.97 GBP. This includes International Air Mail to have them sent. You can order by clicking on the link in the article. If you order, you have to register and they'll want a phone number, just put a 0 in front of your area code and phone number. Run the numbers together with no signs or symbols.
