The official Harry Potter Wizard's Collection website released a new image from the definitive DVD and Blu-ray box set of the eight-part Harry Potter series today - the certificate of authenticity found in the now-set 63,000 copies scheduled to be out in limited release beginning September 7, 2012.  Quote:
This 8" x 10" certificate was designed by MinaLima Design and inspired by the Hogwarts Express train ticket seen in the films. Each Harry Potter Wizard Collection contains a uniquely numbered framable certificate.
The official Harry Potter films' Facebook released several new promos of the 31-disc box art's inside images, including the covers for the DVD/BD sets of the first three installments - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

This seems like a way to justify the 500 dollar MSRP, which is 350 at Amazon, which is still ridiculous. This will not be the definitive release of the films. There is the possibly R or unrated cut of Deathly Hallows Part 1 with the uncut torture scene (plus it would be good if Wormtail's suicide was filmed, but we never heard about it). Also, WB will probably transfer all of the films to 3D for a future release. I have a feelings there is a lot of other extras that are going to be left off this.

I'm annoyed I know I won't be able to afford this. And the last two parts of the making-of documentary (or whatever) is in it. I have the first 6 in the ultimate editions and want the last two.

I'd love to have this, but the prices I've been told are absurd, I could never ask for something like this, no matter how special it is.. after all I have all the DVDs, this would be something else, but I CAN'T AFFORD IT :/

Wow. Considering all the fans that are out there, that's a lot. So if you aren't really a huge fan, even if you have the money, save them for the more avid fans (a.k.a. the readers who also love the movies).

This seems really cool but i don't think it'd worth it considering the fact that the price is extremely high and i already have them all on blu-ray. Plus my friend has all the extended editions which i've watched so i don't think its worth it. I wish though they'd just release disks of the bonus features, i know that'd never happen but hey most of us already have the movies and really how many copies do you need.
