| | Harry Potter: The Exhibition to move to Boston Museum of Science
Warner Brothers have just informed us that Harry Potter: The Exhibition, which is currently being hosted at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, will move to the Boston Museum of Science at the end of October. This will be the only New England venue to host the exhibition. The exhibit will open on the 25th, with a members preview on the 24th. It will close on February 21st 2010. Tickets can be bought now at the aforementioned link.
Museum of Science, Boston President Ioannis Miaoulis, joined by local Harry Potter fans, casts a spell announcing the East Coast premiere of Harry Potter: The Exhibition coming in October.
Lew Stevens, senior curator of Living Collections, Museum of Science, Boston, presenting Sigmund, the Museum's Great Horned Owl, during the announcement of the East Coast venue. Quote:
“Offering an exclusive look at some of the most iconic artifacts and scenic elements from the beloved films, the Museum of Science in Boston will certainly become the hub of excitement for Harry Potter fans when it arrives this October,” said Karen McTier, Executive Vice President, Domestic Licensing and Worldwide Marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
Quote:
"We are thrilled with the reception the exhibition has received in Chicago and we are honored to be able to bring it to one of the greatest museums on the East Coast," said Eddie Newquist, President, Exhibitgroup/Giltspur Branded Entertainment. "Fans young and old from around the world have given us tremendous positive feedback, and we are hopeful that all the Harry Potter fans in the Boston area will have a chance to visit this one-of-a-kind exhibition."
Quote:
"Harry Potter has captivated the imagination of children and adults around the globe. Through the art and technological wizardry of movie-making, the Harry Potter films have brought to life an enchanting and complex world," said Ioannis Miaoulis, President and Director of the Museum of Science. He added, "As a world-class cultural institution, the Museum is excited to offer our visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world that has so richly bridged cultures and generations. We're confident that this exhibition will attract visitors of all ages—some of whom may never have visited a science center. This exhibit will spark their curiosity and imagination, leading them to experience the excitement of discovery that's also at the heart of the Museum's science and technology exhibits and programs."

I just went to it two days ago!
The only thing that disappointed me was that they really didn't sell any candy. They had like 3 things for candy! But I got a Slytherin tie and a quill with ink! lol and i'm going to back in a week to go buy the marauders map!

I went to the Exhibition in Chicago. It was excellent! More than I imagined. It was truly amazing to be standing within inches, centimeters, of the actual props and costumes. I also adored the shop at the end, although it was a little overpriced. However, if you go, I recommend you buy something anyway because they had many things you just won't find on the net or in any stores.

Oh, that's awesome.
I agree about the store. The items are there if you know where to look. There's been a lot of really neat things I've picked up from sites like Amazon, the WB.com store...entertainmentearth, Ebay...
Like I said, you just have to know where to look.
