Harry Potter interactive Invisibility Cloak preview at King's Cross, release details
Appear to disappear with the all-new Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak created by Wow! Stuff in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. The Wizarding World inspired garment, on sale from June 19, 2019 in the UK and in the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Spain and Italy this summer, makes it look like anyone or anything disappears using only a smart device (not included).
The magical illusion costume comes with a unique authentication code that allows users to unlock the Invisibility Cloak section within the free downloadable Wow! Stuff app for iOS and Android devices.
SnitchSeeker had the chance to test out the new invisibility cloak this week at - where else - King's Cross station in London, and the results are clear as day here. Take a look, read SnitchSeeker's report on the event below, and finally become the Master of Death like Harry was in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

“Now muggles can become invisible”, a simple but effective selling point of the brand new, long awaited some might say, Wizarding World inspired Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak. We were invited along to the launch of this product at Kings Cross Station in London, just a few steps away from Platform 9 & 3/4 itself.
We had the chance to speak to Richard North, the CEO of Wow! Stuff, who collaborated with Warner Bros. to bring this product to market. He explained how for quite a while they had wanted to develop this product and that finally the technology with mobile phones was developed enough that they could utilise the chroma-key green screen element used in film making and combine it with the technology in the Wow! Stuff app.
Just like on the Harry Potter film set, the cloak itself features one side with the fabric pattern, and then the other side is green, so then when you turn it around, the green area becomes invisible to its background. The team had travelled to Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden where the Harry Potter films were made, and got themselves hands on with the original Invisibility Cloak, which they analysed and measured, and took countless photos of to get the design just right.
We were given a demo of the Invisibility Cloak inside a booth at Kings Cross and got to see ourselves on a big screen with the cloak on. As soon as we were draped in green, we had disappeared! The app itself is rather simple yet effective. There are a few simple instructions to follow in order to set up your scene, and once you do that you are good to go. Anyone with a mobile phone should be able to do this with no trouble at all.
The Invisibility Cloak comes in both a standard and deluxe version. If you are in the UK you can purchase it straight away at Smyths, and from other retailers including the Platform 9&3/4 shop at the end of the year. There will also be a Deathly Hallows version, which includes the ring, and the Elder Wand, this will come later in the year as well.
If you have always dreamed of having your own Invisibility Cloak then now is the time to create your own magic, you won’t be disappointed with this.
