We are currently only able to consider children who are aged 9-11 in April 2025, and a resident of the UK or Ireland. Please only apply if you meet the brief.

PROJECT SYNOPSIS:

An upcoming HBO Original series adaptation of ‘Harry Potter’, produced by HBO.


WHAT TO SEND US:

1) FIRST VIDEO: Please prepare a short poem or story of your choosing. It can be from your favourite book, a poem that you love, a monologue from a play or something you’ve created yourself. Please, nothing from ‘Harry Potter’. Please use your own accent. 30 seconds maximum!

2) SECOND VIDEO: Please record a short video telling us a bit about yourself, including your date of birth, height and where you live. In addition, please describe any family member, friend or pet that you are particularly close to. Please use your own accent. One minute maximum!


SELF-TAPING INSTRUCTIONS:

- For the videos, please record on any device you have - an iPhone/smart phone is great and normally easiest. Please make sure there is no background noise.

- Please could your child look as close to the camera as possible (down the lens is fine if that’s easiest).

- Please record the videos in a quiet, well-lit room against a plain, neutral background. Make sure we can see their face really clearly!

- Your child should wear whatever they like/feel comfortable in.

- Please film your child landscape, with their head and shoulders taking up the frame - see picture below as an example of framing:
