[img]http://www.snitchseeker.com/images/news/hp_grandpre_80.jpg' align='middle'> Harry Potter doll used in kidnap bid - Summary:
Parents and schools, especially those attended by very young children, are being asked to be on the lookout for a black car, the occupants of which, it is believed, are using dolls to lure children away. Article:
As a result of an incident in which a man tried to kidnap a kid by using a Harry Potter doll to lure him, parents and scool going children in Belmont are told to be aware of similar incidents. Quote:
The situation was brought to the attention of the police following an incident at the Briggs Preparatory School, Belmont, last week in which an attempt was made by the occupants of the black car to get a male student to board the vehicle. The incident was brought to the attention of the Express by the parent of the child who felt the public should know what was happening, since the police did not release information about the incident.
The parent told the Express that the incident occurred last week Tuesday when she dropped her son off to school early that morning. She said she was told by those who witnessed the incident that a car, a black Laurel with heavily tinted windows pulled up in front of the school and an "aged man" came out. There were two other men in the front seats of the car.
The man approached the boy with a Harry Potter doll and used the toy to lure the boy towards the car. The boy began to follow the man but was held back by another student who told him not to go.
Also, a parent who was dropping of her daughter at the Providence Catholic School across the street from the prep' school, observed what was happening and reportedly raised an alarm. It is said that the man then threw the doll at the boy and got back into the car which then sped off. To read the restof the article click here Trinidad Express |

| Princess Sarah Forever & Always That's horrible. I can't believe someone would be so sick and twisted to be able to kidnap a child.

A Harry Potter doll? I agree with you, carebear, people are sick and twisted nowadays and since there are quite a few of them running around loose and more coming out each day, it'll be quite hard to catch them all... What a world we live in.

It's quite scary about what can actually happen, you don't think it would ever happen to you or your child but there are some horrible people out there, and I praise his friend who held that boy back - smark kid.
But over a doll - kids need to be more alert these days - I think the schools should really emphasise on things like this before something happens, I don't know how old this boy is, but a doll is a doll, he should have known better than to start walking up to that stranger.
