Alexandre Desplat, composer for both
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows films, received two Oscar nominations this morning for Best Score for
The Imitation Game and
The Grand Budapest Hotel. It is his seventh and eighth nomination for an Academy Award, although he has yet to win one.
Quote:
“It’s like being hit twice in the head, you know?” Desplat told The Hollywood Reporter. “When you get one already it’s a miracle, so when you get two it’s a double miracle.”
The Grand Budapest Hotel, starring Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort) was also nominated for Best Picture.
