Post Harry Potter chair to be re-auctioned for charity (UDPATED)

A chair upon which J.K. Rowling wrote Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets is to be re-auctioned to benefit Books Abroad, a charity which sends free school books to impoverished countries.

Quote:
It has been personalised by the author herself and features several painted slogans including: "I wrote Harry Potter while sitting on this chair."
It was originally auctioned by Chair-ish a Child for the NSPCC in 2002 when it sold for £15,000. 20% of the money raised will be donated this time around.

Quote:
Matthew Ford, the art dealer organising the sale, said: "It's a chair you'd pay a tenner for in a junk shop but, historically, it's the most important chair in Muggledom, and probably one of the most exceptional and rare pieces of Harry Potter memorabilia ever likely to be offered for sale.

"To a Harry Potter fan this is as good as it gets. It is part of the story, part of JK Rowling's story. Whoever wins it is buying a piece of literary history."
Quote:

Proving its authenticity, the chair comes complete with a special Owl Mail signed by Rowling and addressed to the 'new owner of my chair'.

The author finishes off the letter with the comment: "My nostalgic side is sad to see you go but my back isn't."
Bids may be placed here - the auction currently stands at £1,550.00 and will close on July 26th.

UPDATE:
More photos of the chair can be seen here, including the letter Jo wrote to the auction winner.

It's a beautiful chair and I'm sure that it'll be a wonderful piece of art for someone to have Wish I could afford it!
