Celebrating Century with Harry Potter Summary:
From September the London Symphony Orchestra will be on tour in the US and performing in 15 cities, they will feature amongst other works some of the soundtracks from the Harry Potter films as part of "The Music of Hollywood" tour. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will benefit from a portion of each ticket that is sold during the tour.

The London Symphony Orchestra is celebrating it's 100th anniversary. For those who may not be sure as to who the London Symphony Orchestra are, they are a company of musicians who have recorded numerous soundtracks for films. Some titles apart from the Harry Potter series included that of Star Wars and the Indiana Jones Trilogy.
A 100-Year Celebration
Since the early days of film, music has been an integral part of our love of the movies. The relationship between film and music has resulted in some of the most moving pieces of Hollywood art -- films that continue to inspire us and stir our emotions.
United Kingdom's London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) has recorded music scores for many of the world’s most memorable films. Starting in September of 2004 the LSO will perform 'The Music of Hollywood', a 15-city North-American tour celebrating the powerful 100-year relationship between music and the movies.
A Historic Event
Conducted by the legendary maestro Dirk Brossé, this premier event will present selections from some of the London Symphony Orchestra’s most beloved films scores including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Braveheart, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and many more.
A Grand Spectacle
Enhancing and underscoring each performance will be a stunning array of multimedia effects, including excerpts from the films, a laser light show and dramatic aerial recreations.
With shows in Atlanta, Cleveland, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, San Antonio, St. Louis and Toronto, The Music of Hollywood tour will form the basis of a nationally televised PBS special, expected to air in 2005.
