Post Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - What did you think?

As the famous tagline says, 'It All Ends.' But not for die-hard Harry Potter fans.

The SnitchSeeker news team invites all members of the site, and fans from around the world, to partake in a discussion right here about the finale of the incredible Harry Potter saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, set to hit theatres on Friday, July 15, 2011, in most countries.

Several nations released the final film as early as Wednesday, so we again invite everyone to discuss their favourite parts of the final film, what they'll miss the most, what broke their hearts and made them laugh out loud. Come one and all, and celebrate the end of the Harry Potter film series right here.

Yes, spoilers are allowed in the comments, for those who have seen it. Members are allowed to ask one another questions about the finale, and the series as a whole if they so choose to. This is an open discussion on the finale, once again, and of course, all site and forums rules apply.

Everyone sitting and waiting for midnight shows tonight - have fun, and don't forget to bring some tissues! We hope you enjoy the movie; the news staff has seen the film, and will agree with Daniel Radcliffe when we say it is the best of the franchise by far.

So, without further ado... Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - What did you think?!

One last note: rest assured that this is hardly the end of the Harry Potter fandom, and hardly the end of SnitchSeeker. It is indeed another chapter closed in the fandom (the first being four years ago with the release of the seventh book), but there is so much more to come. From Pottermore to Harry Potter: the Exhibition and the Harry Potter Leavesden Tours in the UK, Harry Potter will live on forever. We hope you stick with us for the entire ride.

I found it awesome, mind-blowing, incredible... PERFECT!
I've seen it on tuesday in french and on thursday in english, it's of course a lot better in english! My favourite scene was the one when Harry says goodby to Hermione, I cried, this was so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time! I've really loved the Snape's memories too, I cried here too because Snape was such a wonderful person... When he hold Lily in his arms it's heartbreaking!! How Voldemort killed him is like in the book, just awful!
I was a bit disappointed by the final fight between Harry and Voldemort cause in the book this scene is so intense, everyone is watching and Harry talks to Voldemort. But in the movie is just a fight, which is a bit ridiculous when they fall from the castle! What do you guys think?

The final effects and the music were SO great! I just think the 3D is a bit useless but it's my point of view...

I'm really sad it's the last movie, of course Harry Potter will never end but it's depressing anyway!

I hope you've all enjoyed it like I did

I'm still in denial, and very close to getting depressed. I mean, it can't be over, it just can't be...

Well, anyway, I loved the flying about thing and then crashing into the courtyard and crawling to get their wands. It really reflected the desperate need of both sides to end the fight.

in Indonesia will be aired late but I'm very excited, I'm willing to queue to buy tickets, and I would cry at the end of the movie, but that certainly is a great movie

I cried through all the movie,as soon as I saw the WB logo,I started to cry, I couldn't handle myself. And the hole movie I was in tears. We departed on one last journey. We have grown with our best friends. We have laughed with them. Cried with them. Smiled with them. And now it is time for the final battle. It is the moment that our entire childhood has led to. We crossed from childhood into adulthood with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Like those before us, we must not grow sad at the thought of leaving our innocence and childhood behind but instead look forward to the future. We must remember the adventures we experienced. The lessons we learned. The friends we made.We lost loved ones in the battle of good vs. evil. We sawthe Hogwarts Express leave King's Cross Station for the last time. This last journey is not an easy one but it was well worth the wait. We must remember many things that we have learned with Harry. To love. To fight injustice. To persist. To be loyal. And that hogwarts will always be there to welcome us home.

The best movie I have ever seen, and I will ever see. Every single second was perfect, beautiful,a true masterpiece. Epilogue was fantastic, they all looked amazing, and a conversation between Harry and Albus is wonderful. MASTERPIECE! Now,I'm feeling deppressed, empty inside,just......it's hard, and I think all of you know this feeling. HP forever!♥

Snitch Seeker's last words in that post got me tearing up thank you SS

i can agree with all of you guys that Snape's death is really really brutal but thank god we dont get to see that, Voldemort's death with those kind of butterfly-ish things flying around are a little bit weird
i didnt like ron and hermione see Harry before he goes to voldemort, not much of Aberforth, and how come Snape gave harry his memories with his tears ???
ut anyway, Snape's memories are heart-breaking, espically the "always"
i looooooooooooooved the NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU ***** obviously
the showdown is exciting
i loved the dragon
the music adds sooooooooo much to the whole movie
and i love how they used music from older movies
the limbo was quite cool
Ron crying over fred's dead body is really sad, rupert was absolutely great, tonks and lupin
the rsurrection stone scene is awesome !!! quite sad :/
hmm, that's it for now, cant wait to watch it again !!! i love it, and yes i am sure, this one is easily the best, in every way, it's just perfect !!!

The film was amazing.Alan Rickman,Daniel and Ralph gave the best performances and were the highlights of the film along with Maggie Smith. Those were outstanding. And Matthew Lewis was great.

The R&Hr kiss is disappointing.
Fred's death wasn't powerful and a bit dissappointing too.
I wish they leave in Voldemort cursing Cruciatus curse on Harry.

Overall the film was amazing.

I loved the movie!
I expecyted to be crying the entire time, but it only hit me when we saw Fred dead, and George and Ron were making these raw sobbing noises. Then I started crying, and then we had a beautiful glimpse of Lupin and Tonks, and I cried even more.

Then of course, it was time for the prince's tale. The last scene in that.. Heartwrenching. No other word. But it was also a lot to take in, new sets, new material, so I was also busy trying to take it all in.. Same for King's Cross and the Epilogue.

Both, perfectly done..(Although I would have made Harry wear white.. to melt more with the set, but I guess the grey is quite symbolic..)

Best movie yet, I'll see it in a couple days again with my friends, (I saw it the thirtheenth with my brother, because I was on vacation), and maybe the second screening will change the way I saw it, but I think I'll love it even more..

A few random thoughts:

1. Neville is awesome!
2. Not a big fan of Luna - Neville, although I was before 7 came out, but filmmakers: Jo said they weren't right for each other! THE QUEEN HAS SAID IT! :-D But it's allright, the way Matt presented it (Neville can have a summer fling! :-) )
3. Dame Maggie Smith: MADE OF AWESOME
4. Julie Walters: MADE OF AWESOME
5. Helena Bonham Carter: MADE OF AWESOME
6. The whole "let's finish this the way we started it" didn't flow with what Harry was saying the second before.. (about why Voldemort would never be the master of the elderwand) But I actually kinda liked theme flying like that and becoming this one tangled person..
7. Alan Rickman: OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR OSCAR (Just sayin')
8. We didn't properly see Scorpius face! Poor Bertie...
9.Ron and Hermoine kiss: better than I thought it would be! I liked them a lot!
10. Gary Oldman, glad we had you back!
11. Am I the only person who thought that the Snape being twenty wasn't properly done? It kinda scared me.. It even distracted me.. But compared to my love for the whole prince's tale, it's nothing..

Epic film. I cried hysterically when Snapr,Fred, Lupin, and Tonka died. It's the best of the series. It should get Oscar nominations in these categories:
Best supporting actor:Alan Rickman
Best lead actor: Dan Radcliffe
Best director: David Yates
Best picture
Best special effects
My ony complaints were:
They barely mentioned Teddy Lupin!
It ticked me off that Albus Potter had Bieber hair

I can't say what I think about the movie. It's so much to take in! I'll probably watch it again tomorrow, this time in 2D because the 3D theater I was in made the movie way too dark. But it was so epic! I loved every second of it!
My favourite parts were the Prince's Tale and following scenes were Harry prepares himself to die. His talk with his loved ones is just priceless! And I also loved the epilogue. Daniel was perfect with his ''son''. I actually felt like it was all starting again.
Other thing I loved about the movie, is that, even with all the death and danger happening, they still managed to have some funny lines. McGonhagall's ''I always wanted to do this spell''; Ron's ''That's my girlfriend you attacked''; Neville defying Voldemort's army; and so many more!
Everything was great, just great (:

Us Harry/Hermione fans just prefer them together regardless of the outcome. We feel they have more chemistry and moments that could suggest something more, even though it didn't happen, which we are ALL aware of we will continue to prefer them because we can't help it. We can't change our feelings or opinions.

I loved the movie, but there are a few things that I missed.

1) Where is Dumbledore's backstory? As that was a huge part of the book, I was sad to see they haven't covered it in the movie. But I'm happy they put a few scenes in where the viewer notices that there might've been something wrong with Dumbledore after all...but in the end it's just covered up with a "I trusted the man I know" by Harry...
2) They didn't include the conflict Hallows/Horcruxes, and they didn't explain that Harry's cloak was a Hallow, or that he was the true "Master of Death". Also it didn't show that Harry was tempted to go after the Hallows instead of the Horcruxes at one point.
3)I didn't get the scene where Voldemort and Harry fight and hunt each other durin the battle. I mean, it looked spectacular, and you got to see a lot of the beautiful castle, but it was senseless. In the book Voldemort just waited in the shack/the forest and didn't step in to the battle of Hogwarts. Of course that way they didn't have to come up with a long dialogue like they had in the great hall during Voldemort's final moments and could bring a little more spectacular stuff onto the screen...
4) A few of the deaths weren't as emotional or gratly done as I would have expected. Tonks, Lupin and Fred would've deserved a more emotional scene, and they way Bellatrix scattered, literally, wth? And Voldemort's death seemed weird to me.

Although I've made a few points I didn't like about the movie, there's tons I LOOOOOOVED!

I think it's by far my favourite movie of all of them.

The best actor in my opinion was Alan Rickman, he was just SO impressive!
I can't get the Godric's Hollow scene out of my head, at that point I started crying...so intense and emotional, greatest scene in all of the films!

If I would rate this film on a 10-scale I would give it a 8,5

What an UNBELIEVABLE movie!

I thought it was the best from all the movies! The actors were amazing everything was just excellent!!! The one moment I was laughing and the next I was crying, iot was just brilliant it has all different emotions, and was played very well by all the actors. There were a few parts that were a bit gruesome but they wern't that bad.

My Cherie Amour

i saw it six hours ago...in Ireland so five hours ahead of when i would normally see it.

i love King's Cross Station w/ Dumbledore and Harry meeting his mom, dad, Remus and Sirius ....i had tears running down my face for that bit. Neville had alot of screen time, as did Snape.....the epilogue did the job as it should have.....Pansy P. annoyed me on screen as she did in the book!

Maxtina Potter: sorry u couldnt watch it :/... Im gonna answer ur questions but from my point of view, :

1) Among the trio who acted the best?
Daniel was absolutely amazing showing his emotions in this one, really wonderful but u know what, the three of them were really really good

2) How long was the Prince's Tale part, and what was Harry's reaction afterward? I mean, in the book he sort of jumped out of the memories and he fell to the floor and all... was his reaction like in the book?
u mean in the movie , well it was about 5-8 minutes long as i remember... it was really sad, and they've added some stuff to it ... Afterwards, Harry sits on the floor, shocked, as i recall, and then he goes to Voldemort

3) The scene of Lily's death, was there any dialogs like the part in the book?
just one line before she dies, she says to Harry : "Harry mama loves you, dady loves you " and "Harry Be safe, Be strong"

4) Can you tell me about King's Cross part? How was it?
it was really,,.... WHITE, harry's not naked *thank god * it wasnt as long as i thought it would be and Dumbledore doesnt explain much in it ..

5) Is it true they say the movie is even better than the book?
i dont know about that, but it was truly the best movie !!!

6) Was King's Cross shown right after Harry's DEATH? Do the audience know by the time the procession part begins, that Harry's actually alive? How did he come to life in front of the others?
yes it was shown right after he dies. and yes the audience know that he's alive, because Narcissa goes to check if he's dead and she talks to him. he actually jumps from Hagrid's hands and there's alot of shouting in that scene, espically from Voldemort

7) Is it better in 2D or 3D? or both...?
i think both, i mean i dont think 3D added alot to it

8) How was the epilogue; who acted the best in the part? How was the makeup and atmosphere?
the make up and the atmosphere were amazing, Ron got himself a belly , Hermione, well i dont think they changed alot about her actually, Ginny and Harry looked really old, Draco and Astoria are great together, the kids are really beautiful.. hmmm, they pulled it off really well

9) Was there any of famous scenes or dialogs changed majorly? Any scenes added? Were they good? Did you hate any changes, or love any?
they added some to Snape's memories, which were really good, they added : harry sees ron and hermione before he goes to the forbidden forest.. hmm, i love the NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU *****, and HARRY IF WE DIE FOR THEM ILL KILL YOU !!!

10) Can you explain the "Price's Tale" and "the Forest Again" parts as much as you can please?
Prince's tale: it starts with lily and petunia with lily making a flower open and close, petunia calling lily a freak... lily and snape lying on the grass and talking about petunia *that she's jealous of lily* lily getting sorted in gryffindor, james says to her: hi im james... James and Sirius * i think* push lily and snape in a hallway... snape begs dumbledore to hide lily and protect her *some lines here are really close to the book* , snape goes to the potter's house, hugs dead lily, and while baby harry is crying in the background, snape cries after lily's death and talking to dumbledore, snape tells dumbledore about harry *some scenes from hp1 are shown* and then some scenes from the occlumency lesson from hp5, and then Snape is healing dumbledore's hand, Snape says his famous line: always... <3
hmm, u can hear some of HP6's music and some flashbacks ....

The forest again: harry kisses the snitch, it opens, he holds the resurrection stone and then lily, james, sirius and lupin, he talks to them.. some quotes* do mind that they arent in order, but it's how i remembered them* Harry: why are u here? lily: we never left.
harry: stay close to me. Harry: i never wanted any of you to die for me. Harry: does it hurt, dying?? Sirius: no, not at all, as easy as falling asleep * or sth like that, sorry, but it's the same line from the book* Harry: stay close to me
and then the stone drops from his hand, in the meantime, the death eaters inform voldemort that theres "no sign of him" and he says: " i thought he'd come" and bella looks really terrified there, ... then harry comes, Voldemort says: harry potter the boy who lived, come to die, AVADA KEDAVRA!!!!!!!!!!! and then king's cross !!!

hope i helped, i tried to be as accurate as i could !!! if u need to know anything else just ask
and please excuse my writing, it's just that, wicked, i wrote too much

LunaLovegood 123

Luna appears in the second scene in Shell Cottage, and then in the room of requirements and then she follows harry to tell him about the grey lady, i dont think i saw her fight, but i think she was actually, and at the end she sits next to Neville and smiles to him that's as far as i remember

In Sirius denial Courageous Ginny Fan

1. Harry hinding among the students.
2. When Pansy tells everyone to get Harry everyone protects him.
3. Griphook was perfect, just enough goul and gawlish.
4. The dragon was wonderfully made.
5. I wish Harry would have repaired his wand with the elder wand.
6. As much as I hate it I wanted to see more of Fred's death.
7. The statues coming down were perfect, but what about the desks. Also the globes trelawney throws, and Neville with his plants.
8. I wanted to see more of Harry and Ginny.
9. I actually liked that when Harry knew he had to come down the steps and go to the forrest Ron and Hermione were there before he went.
10. The kiss was horrible and not sweet or anything.
11. I was expecting Aberforth to be more dirtier but I liked the way they protrayed him. Also where was his goat?
12. I wanted to see him tell the Death Eaters off.
13. McGonagall was PERFECT BRILLIANT WONDERFUL AMAZING!
14. Filch still love that man.
15. The Harry Ginny kiss was weak too.
16. I wanted to see Ginny dueling Bellatrix then have Molly step in but it stillw as great.
17. I hated how the bodies of Bellatrix and Voldemort disintegrated.
18. Snape's memories were perfect. Him holding Lily was breathtaking.
19. I didn't think I would care about Lavender but seeing Greyback over her sent so many chills through me.
20. I'm glad we got to see more of Dean and Seamus.
21. I wanted to see more of the Carrows as well.
22. Ginny screaming for Harry LOVED IT!
23. Neville at the bridge was hilarious.
24. The death eaters running to the castle and becomeing no more once they hit the protection field was awesome.
