| | Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - What did you think?
As the famous tagline says, 'It All Ends.' But not for die-hard Harry Potter fans.
The SnitchSeeker news team invites all members of the site, and fans from around the world, to partake in a discussion right here about the finale of the incredible Harry Potter saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, set to hit theatres on Friday, July 15, 2011, in most countries.
Several nations released the final film as early as Wednesday, so we again invite everyone to discuss their favourite parts of the final film, what they'll miss the most, what broke their hearts and made them laugh out loud. Come one and all, and celebrate the end of the Harry Potter film series right here.
Yes, spoilers are allowed in the comments, for those who have seen it. Members are allowed to ask one another questions about the finale, and the series as a whole if they so choose to. This is an open discussion on the finale, once again, and of course, all site and forums rules apply.
Everyone sitting and waiting for midnight shows tonight - have fun, and don't forget to bring some tissues! We hope you enjoy the movie; the news staff has seen the film, and will agree with Daniel Radcliffe when we say it is the best of the franchise by far.
So, without further ado... Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - What did you think?!
One last note: rest assured that this is hardly the end of the Harry Potter fandom, and hardly the end of SnitchSeeker. It is indeed another chapter closed in the fandom (the first being four years ago with the release of the seventh book), but there is so much more to come. From Pottermore to Harry Potter: the Exhibition and the Harry Potter Leavesden Tours in the UK, Harry Potter will live on forever. We hope you stick with us for the entire ride. |

AMAZING, BRILLIANT!
We were lucky to have the final movie released wednesday in France, i've already seen it 4 times. I'm having a hard time telling myself it's over.
The epilogue is great, much better than the photos we had seen, the soundtrack is perfect, so many epic moments!
Ron et Hermione have a lot of very cute moments, THE kiss is very well done
Daniel radcliffe is on top of his game
can't wait for everybody to see it

The last scene before the epilogue is a zoom out on the trio, very very emotional, it's summing up the potter series with their amazing friendship at the center of it.
The final shot of the epilogue is on the famous HP music, when the trio is watching their children depart to hogwarts.

This 2nd part film adaptation of the 7th book, started with a very solemn / sad / emotional music entitled 'Lily's Theme', it was great because i really felt that this is the last film.
Visual effects and Cinematography are amazingly done. The roller coaster ride scene is better to be seen in 3D.
About the actors, I very much impressed by the Great performances of The Trio (Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint), Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange/Hermione), Maggie Smith (Prof. McGonagall), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom)
and especially Alan Rickman (Severus Snape), after one decade watching him in movies (including of being Bruce Willis' villain in Die Hard part 1 and being cut in neck by Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd), first time i saw him crying in a scene, it was really a great and very strong performance, deserves an Oscar.
This is the movie everyone shouldn't missed. The movie focus not in Epic battle scenes but in the Great story of Love, Friendship and Bravery.

Nothing romantic is ever actually shown with Neville and Luna, but they do have a quote from Neville saying how he is going to go find Luna because he has had a thing for her and thinks its about time he did something about it. There is a very short scene where Luna comes over and sits down beside Neville in the Great Hall and they just kind of sit beside one another with content looks on their face.
At Shell Cottage, Luna mentions how wind chimes to muggles are supposed to ward off evil, "but they are wrong." Nothing too detailed there.

I have watched it twice, both times in 3D. I liked it for the most part, especially Alan Rickman who should get an Oscar for his performance. Bawled several times through especially the scene where Snape hugged a dead Lily while a baby Harry was crying behind in the cot. T_T One of the disappointments though, this a tiny one, was that we only got to see the back of Bertie Gilbert (Malfoy Jr)'s head and not his cute little face which we have grown to love on his Youtube channel.
I was also looking forward to Fred's joking and getting hexed and freezing mid-laugh, but instead we were treated to a secondary scene of him on the floor in front of a Death Eater while the main thing going on was Voldemort's second "whispered" broadcast to everyone. It would be a really powerful scene had they included that in. Plus after Narcissa pronounced Harry "dead", they should've kept Hagrid's wail in instead of cutting to the scene of Neville's feet. The music was haunting though.
One more thing that bugged me though was that Cho Chang is supposed to be a year older than Harry Potter. So why was she in school uniform, standing in the front row among Ravenclaws in the Great Hall when Snape was giving his warning speech? When Snape was walking down the Hall intently staring at his students, he stared at Cho too then continued down the Hall as if nothing was wrong. =.=" Glad Katie Leung had lines and was featured prominently though, I like how she sounds. <3

I'm seeing it tomorrow with snelly and Ill say what I thought then but there's one thing from the trailers that none of my friend understand and it's too important to wait In the trailer Harry says "We'll finish this the way we started it, together." And then jumps off a building...why? What's that all about?

I just love the movie, they really capture the feeling of the book, the epicness of it. I got teary during the whole movie, but specially when (spoilers) lavander is found death, and then Fred and Ron cries is just to sad. Snape's memories brilliant and the "look at me" that he says to harry before he dies is perfect. But when Harry is in the forest and meet his parents and Sirius ans Remus is gorgeous and heartbreaking.
A very beutifull ending for a epic series.
And the part when the trio needs to get to the boathouse is beautiful, the music and cinematography in that part of the movie is just moving.
And finally I jus love the kis between perfection! even though is not in the room of requirement.

| hp dh2
i have just come home( midnight viewing) from seeing hp dh pt2 in 3d and although i am not a 3d convert i will say WOWWWW!! what a finish to the saga.for all those sensitive potter fans take some tissues with you and a spare shoulder to cry on as this is the end, or is it? the 3 main characters standing on platform 9 &3/4 look ready for some more action.
anyway i'd say the film is about 75% or more accurate to the book.you know we won't all be satisfied by the book to film accuracy but all in all a great and yes the best film so far of all 8.
i just hope we can all still continue to be part of a big community brought together by a similar theme ie harry potter and jk rowling.
enjoy the film in whichever format you see it in and i can't wait untill the dvd comes out now.

| "Always" // "all was well."
I so wanna see this, I have to wait til Monday as I work mid shifts all weekend( including tomarrow) ok, what about Lucius? I seem to remember Jason isaacs saying they didn't need him as much as they thought, or something like this.
Snape cries over a dead Lilly? Does he at least look at baby Harry? I think he should have taken baby Harry and raised him as his own.
Is the "bravest man I ever knew" line still in there. And the "always" line as well as if Dumbles asks Snape if he has grown to care for Harry?
I wanna know details about poor sev...

I wanna know details about poor sev... Spoilers - Well David Yates said there were several alternate endings for the Malfoys, and revealed them at the press conference this past weekend. A couple of them didn't have Lucius at all, so I can see why he may not been used for them.
No, Snape doesn't look at baby Harry when he cries over Lily; the 'bravest man' line is definitely in the epilogue and said by Harry; and yes, the 'Always' line between Snape and Dumbledore is there for The Prince's Tale.
If you're a Snape fan, you won't be disappointed.

Ok so the kiss... as a Ron and Hermione fan, I am scared they messed this up as far as the camera angle goes ( Harry and Ginny's kisses were shot horribly in HBP and Part 1). Especially since there seems to be some people who are coming back and saying how great the kiss was and some other people going "Oh the camera angle was bad!"
So how was the camera angle? I want to prepare myself.

Yes. I wil admit I cried [a lot] during this film. Probably as soon as the Battle of Hogwarts began, I cried for the rest of the movie. it tore me up to see the castle in ruin. It was excellent though. The music was great, the visual effects were spectacular, and the actors seemed to have stepped it up a notch. I was very startled with Snape's death though, it kind of scared me. And I think I gasped when I saw the bodies of Fred, Tonks, and Lupin. I was expecting it, but it still hit me hard to see them dead.
I do have one question, How did Luna get to Hogwarts [from Shell Cottage] that fast? She was at Shell Cottage one day, then at Hogwarts the next. I know in the book she comes through the portrait with the others, but in the movie I think she was already there. Any answers??
Overall I think it was amazing! I would love to see it again in theaters. They did an awesome job balancing out the humor and dark material.
One more question. I'm pretty sure at the end of the first part, Dobby disarmed Narcissa Malfoy and took her wand at the manor. How did Draco end up with it in this part?

I loved it! I love when they go down to the vaults and the dragon escaping! I felt it a tiny bit rushed , but it was rushed just right! the spell that Molly uses to kill Bellatrix was AWESOME!! I can't wait to see it again!
