| | Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - What did you think?
As the famous tagline says, 'It All Ends.' But not for die-hard Harry Potter fans.
The SnitchSeeker news team invites all members of the site, and fans from around the world, to partake in a discussion right here about the finale of the incredible Harry Potter saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, set to hit theatres on Friday, July 15, 2011, in most countries.
Several nations released the final film as early as Wednesday, so we again invite everyone to discuss their favourite parts of the final film, what they'll miss the most, what broke their hearts and made them laugh out loud. Come one and all, and celebrate the end of the Harry Potter film series right here.
Yes, spoilers are allowed in the comments, for those who have seen it. Members are allowed to ask one another questions about the finale, and the series as a whole if they so choose to. This is an open discussion on the finale, once again, and of course, all site and forums rules apply.
Everyone sitting and waiting for midnight shows tonight - have fun, and don't forget to bring some tissues! We hope you enjoy the movie; the news staff has seen the film, and will agree with Daniel Radcliffe when we say it is the best of the franchise by far.
So, without further ado... Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - What did you think?!
One last note: rest assured that this is hardly the end of the Harry Potter fandom, and hardly the end of SnitchSeeker. It is indeed another chapter closed in the fandom (the first being four years ago with the release of the seventh book), but there is so much more to come. From Pottermore to Harry Potter: the Exhibition and the Harry Potter Leavesden Tours in the UK, Harry Potter will live on forever. We hope you stick with us for the entire ride. |

Anybody thinking the same thing? I knew from the first film he felt something for Lily. He went out of his way to belittle James every time he had the chance, but never ever had a bad thing to say about her.

I thought that it was a great continuation of Part 1 and a really fitting end to the movies.
I do have some things that I didn't like about it though which being a lover of the books is understandable I guess

My biggest complaint is Bellatrix's death. It was terribly out of place, and very anticlimactic. Hope we get an extended version on the BluRay (somday...).

Good on you, I have watched all these movies many, many times, and I never really knew what was going on there. I should have, of course, I should have figured that there was something much, much deeper in Snape's treatment of Harry. But alas, no
It was a satisfying end to the tale, but I really wish they had been a bit more faithful to the book, especially for part 2.
The movie would not have been too long, the death of Voldemort in the Great Hall should have been shown I think.
I really wish there had been a bit more of Harry and Ginny, of course obviously it worked out since they are together in the Epilogue but still.
ah well fabulous film though anyway you look at it.

It definitely had the best soundtrack. "Lily's Theme", "Statues", and "The Resurrection Stone" were my favorites.

I loved the book. Although the first is my favourite as it introduces everything and everyone. Each book adds another layer of depth to such an amazing story.

I have a question, just looking at the posters which show Hogwarts in flames. How long do you think it would take to put the school back together. I am assuming they would use magic, would they? How long? Just curious. Well of course we know it was taking students couple of years before the epilogue.

Thought it was the best movie out of all of them. It did the book justice imo, yes there were a few things changed but i suppose i'm used to it now. Also It was visually stunning with great acting and a beautiful soundtrack that i'm now addicted to.
Seen it 3 time now and it still makes me cry still kind of sad its over now, but i suppose we've got pottermore and the new tour coming out so at least it hasn't ended altogether.

SPOILER ALERT!
I love Luna! She is amazing. And I think Neville and her are the cutest couple in the world! I'm glad they made that happen in the movies, even though I know that wasn't in J.K. Rowling's mind. So bittersweet. But I think in the epilouge you can see them walking together in the background!
I also loved how they did the Prince's Tale. It's so sweet. I sobbed when Snape saw Lily on the ground, and especially how he just completly ignores Harry! I wish Lily had chosen Snape! Aww well!
But the one thing I wasn't happy about was how they did Emma Watson in the epilouge. All what they did was have Emma in her pixie-cut and made her hips wider. She looked exactly the same. But I loved Tom Felton at the end! He's chubby, along with Ron, and Ginny. LOL!
Another problem I had was when they never even gave Teddy's name. They just mentioned that REmus had a so once and that was it. Also, in the end, they only told us Al's name! That got me a bit annoyed.
But besides, that it was great! Phenomenol! Probably one of the best ones! Sorry that you had to read on about my ranting. I just had to vent.

I can't be the only person who saw this 8 times. Please don't say I'm the only person who saw it 8 times.
I may, however, be the only person old enough to know better who saw it 8 times. |
