'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' Broadway cast chat about Hogwarts, spells, more
With less than week before the grand opening debut of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway, the cast and crew sat down to talk about bringing the hit production to New York City, in a series of videos.
One feature shows the massive renovation of the Lyric Theatre in Manhattan, while another focused on the three leads - Jamie Parker (Harry Potter), Paul Thornley (Ron Weasley), and Noma Dumezweni (Hermione Granger) - and their excitement to perform as the Wizarding world characters once again.
Finally, the third clip features the majority of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child cast on Broadway chatting about some of their favorite parts of J.K. Rowling's world, from spells to Hogwarts Houses and more.
It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and the father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
Seven members of the Original West End Company reunite on stage for the Broadway premiere: Jamie Parker (Harry Potter), Noma Dumezweni (Hermione Granger) and Paul Thornley (Ron Weasley) with Poppy Miller (Ginny Potter), Sam Clemmett (Albus Potter), Alex Price (Draco Malfoy) and Anthony Boyle (Scorpius Malfoy).
