Sir John Hurt, who played Ollivander in the
Harry Potter series, has thankfully be given the all-clear following his battle with pancreatic cancer early this year. The Oscar-nominated actor commented on how thrilled he is to be in better health.
Quote:
John Hurt: “I had a final scan and it’s all gone brilliantly. I had the final scan yesterday and I saw my oncologist this morning.
“I am overjoyed, I am thrilled. It all looks great for the future, it’s fantastic.”
Hurt added that he is reluctant to use the word "remission" even "if it's true", continuing: "It all looks great for the future - it's fantastic."
Jack Thorne, playwright for
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, commented on his joy over the news on Wednesday morning, as well.
