As it is past midnight in the UK, today, Friday August 24th marks actor Rupert Grint's 24th birthday. All Harry Potter fans know Rupert as playing Harry's loyal, courageous, hilarious, and faithful best friend and sidekick Ron Weasley in the film series, from when he started at the age of 12 in Sorcerer's Stone to the release of Deathly Hallows: Part 2 last summer.
Born Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint, he has starred in several films outside the Harry Potter series, including Cherrybomb, Wild Target, and the upcoming features Into the White, CBGB, and The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman.
