Pottermaniac UPDATE: Milo from
Evanna Lynch fans was present at the filming also and says that the scene filmed involved no main cast and revolved around the destruction of the structure to emphasise how the war is affecting the muggle world.
Quote:
“They used 120+ extra’s on the bridge plus stuntmen who fell off the bridge into the water. They had a helicopter which filmed the main parts swooping down very close to the water and bridge, and it flew length ways along the bridge. Filming could only be done every 30 mins as that was all that the government would allow them.”
UPDATE #2: London SE1 has two more photos of the helicopter filming special-effects scenes on the bridge; the shooting took place on March 8-9.
UPDATE #3: HP4U News has new photos and more information about the shoot:
Quote:
1-That this scene has to do with the Horcruxes.
2-That this scene was from the opening scenes of the film,
and 3- Dementors will also be in this opening sequence.
But sadly, despite much begging they wouldn't elaborate further, and not a call sheet in sight!! We can only wait and see. What is certain though, is the shots will be edited to include CGI effects to make the bridge 'collapse' to further the destruction of the Capital during the dark times in the Wizarding World.
Half-Blood Prince releases November 21st.
