The Fourth Round of Pottermore.com’s Magical Quill Scavenger Hunt has been launched, giving Harry Potter fans worldwide the chance to have early access to the expansive new website by answering a question from the fourth novel, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

For those who have found the question and managed to register, you may discuss the question/answer in this thread but please put your comments in a spoiler tag to avoid spoiling other fans. [*spoiler=Pottermore Magical Quill Day Four]Answer text[*/spoiler] – but remove the asterisks (*).

Once registered, you may also insert your Pottermore name into your SnitchSeeker profile, if you would like to, by following this link and completing the field titled "Pottermore Username".

SnitchSeeker will continuously update with news on Pottermore every day of this week, including when the new clues are released. Thursday’s question will revolve around the fifth and largest book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, so it may be worth brushing up on your knowledge of the Department of Mysteries (for it’s a mystery what the clue will be!).

Note: If you figured out the clue and answer, and have been able to register and get your verification, you are done with this stage of the Pottermore experience. You will no longer have to register again this week through the Magical Quill challenge; the next part is to await for the Welcome Email for the Pottermore beta site, which will be sent anytime between August 7 to September 30, 2011.

UPDATE: The Pottermore Insider Blog has once again updated, answering a question asked by many regarding the creation of multiple accounts.

UPDATE 3: The Pottermore Insider has revealed a hint on the timeframe of the next clue.

For all those unfamiliar with British Summer Time, that's 3.30pm - 7pm GMT; 11.30am - 3pm EST; 8.30am-12pm PST.

At first I was quite nervous because I couldn't find the magical quill. But after few minutes somebody fixed it and I saw a huge text on pottermore: congratulations! Uff, now we have to wait for welcome e-mail

Here is how thorn is connected (did a search on it). Ron had taken a blackthorn wand from a snatcher. When he found out Harry's wand had been accidentally broken, Ron gave that wand to Harry.

I see that insider.pottermore has not posted the next window....it's anybody's guess! It's already day 5 in the UK... could be any time between now and tomorrow afternoon/evening (depending on where you are). Good luck, all!

My username would have been cooler if it was BlackThorn10. That way, it's easier to associate it with HP. But now that you found a plausible explanation to my username, I'm loving it more and more.

Were you able to register the last time? Quite unfair for some because of the buggy registration and that we were only given approx. 20 minutes to get in...

I am glad you are liking your name. I got in on the first day. My user name is RoseNifflerXX. Nifflers were first mentioned in GOF and are creatures that hunt treasure. Pretty cool since finding the quill was kind of like treasure hunting. And I like that part of my name is the name of Ron and Hermione's daughter.

I remember CloakNiffler was one of my choices. The others were potions related names. Meh. I just want to be unique...and I think I just got what I want.

Let's see what house we'll end up. I'm hoping I get in to Slytherin.

The question was posted yesterday afternoon in the UK..so that's about 11-12am in your country. I wonder if the time of releasing the question also varies...

that's what im guessing too. most likely during the day for the US (eastern) which will be past 11 pm for me. so i guess it's time for me to be up all night haha

While we have NO CONFIRMATION of the time for the 5th clue tomorrow, we expect it to be sometime around 11AM EST to 2PM EST. #educatedguess
