The Fourth Round of Pottermore.com’s Magical Quill Scavenger Hunt has been launched, giving Harry Potter fans worldwide the chance to have early access to the expansive new website by answering a question from the fourth novel, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

For those who have found the question and managed to register, you may discuss the question/answer in this thread but please put your comments in a spoiler tag to avoid spoiling other fans. [*spoiler=Pottermore Magical Quill Day Four]Answer text[*/spoiler] – but remove the asterisks (*).

Once registered, you may also insert your Pottermore name into your SnitchSeeker profile, if you would like to, by following this link and completing the field titled "Pottermore Username".

SnitchSeeker will continuously update with news on Pottermore every day of this week, including when the new clues are released. Thursday’s question will revolve around the fifth and largest book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, so it may be worth brushing up on your knowledge of the Department of Mysteries (for it’s a mystery what the clue will be!).

Note: If you figured out the clue and answer, and have been able to register and get your verification, you are done with this stage of the Pottermore experience. You will no longer have to register again this week through the Magical Quill challenge; the next part is to await for the Welcome Email for the Pottermore beta site, which will be sent anytime between August 7 to September 30, 2011.

UPDATE: The Pottermore Insider Blog has once again updated, answering a question asked by many regarding the creation of multiple accounts.

UPDATE 2: The Fourth Day is now closed. Be sure to check back tomorrow for another chance to register.

UPDATE 3: The Pottermore Insider has revealed a hint on the timeframe of the next clue.

We know that Harry Potter fans around the world are taking part in the challenge, so we will be varying the times that the clues are revealed. We can tell you that today’s clue (Day 5) will be released between 4.30pm and 8.00pm BST.

For all those unfamiliar with British Summer Time, that's 3.30pm - 7pm GMT; 11.30am - 3pm EST; 8.30am-12pm PST.

I tried it a couple times, because I wasn't looking to get an account, and if you hit it at the right time, there WAS a quill hunt. But I think most people managed to get around it.

I'm soooo happy it finally worked. My roomate got hers done first day but I've been working so haven't been able to stay up all night until this time. I stayed up all night and then the clue wasn't even posted until 9:30AM!! But it's cool, cause I watched Ed Wood and other movies while waiting. Now I just need my email! Is it bad that I totally had to bust out the calculator to figure out the answer. I think I've been out of school too long.

Aw. I wanted to find the magical quill among the quills... (I didn't get to do it on day 1). I kept refreshing though but it just went ahead to the congrats page.

okay, can somebody help me? i CONTINUOUSLY typed in the answer but it just took me to the pottermore website and could not find the quill anywhere... what was i doing wrong??

Did you type in the answer at the end of the pottermore address or the address given for the quill challenge??

You will not receive your welcome letter until after the 7 days 7 clues or whatever promotion has ended.

^^ Check the insider.pottermore.com blog. they have clues of when it will start each day.

It start at different timing. Check out the insider pottermore website for the timings.

It varries everyday but if you go to insider.pottermore.c** They'll have information on when they'll release a clue... you just have to convert it to your timezone since its in Brit Standard Time ^^,

So I finally got in, but I didn't have to look for a quill. I just typed in the address and it took me directly to the congratulations page.
