| | |  Five hundred first edition Potter books for sale
The Times is reporting that one man is set to sell his five hundred and fifty three first edition Potter books, with volumes in sixty three languages. The collection, which was started in 2002, is being sold on February 28th at Bloomsbury Auctions, London, England, with an expected draw of £40,000. Quote:
Roddy Newland, of Bloomsbury, said: “No one has ever amassed such a collection of international editions. There’s no auction precedent for it.”

you know what sucks i have a first edition of HPatSS and because I didn't realize the value it would have when I was like 8, it's completely trashed! pages falling out and everything! makes me quite sad in fact. but I can't believe he is selling his collection! why would anyone do such a thing???
