A pirated translation of
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is being commercialized in Venezuela. If that's not shocking enough, it looks almost identical to the real editions of the novel. The artwork is in fact the exact picture that you can find on the U.S. covers and chapter titles. The only real difference is the font of the letters below the
Harry Potter title. The booksellers are describing it as an "almost official translation", and say that "It's almost equal to the edition published by Editorial Salamandra." This, however, is not stopping them from selling it or Venezuela residents from buying; it is currently priced at 65.000 Bolívares (USD $30).
There is currently no word from translator Salamandra on this piracy.
