This year's Toy Fair in New York City displayed various old and new Harry Potter merchandise. The most notable, of course, are the new LEGO construction sets being released in October, which are modeled after numerous scenes and buildings from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, including the Astronomy Tower and the Burrow on fire. Exclusive high-resolution photos and a video by myself, from the event which I attended earlier today, for SnitchSeeker can be seen in our galleries and below, respectively.

In addition to the construction set, a LEGO board game, out this August, was revealed at the Toy Fair; the first photos of the game, where fans can play as Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, and Dumbledore, and preliminary box set can be seen below.

Also, NECA, Elope, and many other distributors showed off already-seen figurines and toys from the earlier Harry Potter films; those can be seen here.

Finally, as the release of Alice in Wonderland, starring Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Timothy Spall, and Paul Whitehouse, amongst others, is nearing, merchandise to promote the film was out for viewing at the Fair. They can be viewed in our galleries.

LEGO promises many more photos of the construction set, board game, and video game throughout the year.

I own all but one of the old Harry Potter LEGO sets, and it's really very exciting to see them starting the line up again!

I wish they were doing sets they hadn't done before, though. Why would I need another set of Dobby being released? And the original flying car was sooo much better. Why would I need a third Hagrid's Hut? Or a fourth Hogwarts Express or castle? I mean, I will be buying them because of all the new parts (like Luna!!). But I'm most excited about the Burrow because it's new and the game because I can play that with local Harry Potter fans. Those look awesome.

Don't know yet, it's too early. I reckon we'll get those numbers sometime in late summer.

Ah, I remember when I had HP toys. But not LEGOs, though. Jeez, I had Aragog's Lair, Hogwarts, I think Hagrid's Hut... and I can't remember. NOSTALGIA.
