Exclusive: SnitchSeeker interview with David Heyman, Imelda Staunton return confirmed
 

As we told you earlier today, SnitchSeeker had the opportunity to interview David Heyman last night about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We spoke with the producer about Rupert and Emma's kissing scene, Bill Weasley, young Dumbledore and Dolores Umbridge, among other things.

Why they change that part!!?? i wanted to see Harry in that scene :(

I thik the kissing scene is on the chamber of secrets because it was only r/hr and I read somewhere that they were maybe going to film something in the chamber of secrets so idk but i guess that will still be cool :D

Though I've not been thrilled at some of the changes from books to screen, this one thrills me. I think it's wonderful that Harry won't be there. I feel there's a much better chance for a more romantic scene between Ron and Hermione then.

Also, off topic I'd like to add that the films are looking vastly improved since David Yates took over the helm. I was very happy he stayed on.

I have mixed feelings about Harry not being there. But I love the Ron and Hermione relationship so much, I think it's good they have their time alone. So I guess this change is good :)

I'm glad that Bill's wedding seems close to the book. I just wonder why they don't at least mention his engagement with Fleur in HBP - that way it'd be easier to introduce him in DH..

Poo! So not looking forward to Rupert getting all kissy-wissy with Emma on stage. <_<

But, we've got a long way ahead of us so maybe I'll ease into the idea. =/

So I guess he's not on the scene after all...I don't know what to think but I guess as long as we see the kiss it'll be ok :P

*sniffs again* But I think DH is going to be awesome and slighly different from the book, which is what gave the films their flavours.

Maybe they will use the REPARO spell at the Weasley's House. :-)

We all know (because of the trailers) that in HP6 movie, The Weasleys House (aka The Burrow) was destroyed by the Death Eaters, or maybe the damage is not that big as i think...

That's going to be a fantastic movie. Too bad they're not sticking with how Ron and Hermione kiss. :( That would have been great to have Harry there when they did.

I dont like Harry not being there for the kiss, but I suppose Yates wants to make the film his own.

I have to agree. I really love what David Yates has brought to the franchise and I'm SO excited to see how Deathly Hallows will turn out.

Im glad shes coming back, for some reason some people aren't, and i just dont see the point. Its like the best series of films ever, why not be in the most successful film of all time?

Looking forward to Hr/R kiss.... but do you know somebody, will there be the Harry/Ginny kiss too? If yes, I hope it´ll be better than their HBP kiss...

I'm rather curious myself at how you're just going to understand Bill was attacked by Fenrir, seeing as they didn't even mention he's a werewolf.

Hmmm...I don't know how to judge how well they'll be able to do DH justice. I thought Yates did awesome on OoTP, but not so hot on HPB (too much Twilight-esque, blatant teenage romantic drama that became more central than the actual plot of finding memories!). The Hermione/Ron thing is important for sure, but I hope it's not as sappy as it was in the HPB film.

I didn't really like the feeling behind some of his answers. He seemed like he was being a bit short. Idk. That's just me.

I wish they stop changing things. im really upset about the end of HBP. I wanted to see that battle between the Aurors and Death Eaters...where Bill gets bit in the face..."Its understood"...Yes, a lot of things are having to be understood.

i am glad they are finally introducing bill!! i am afraid that this film will disappoint though... i REALLY hope not though

Wow - great interview! Nice to know they include Umbridge in the movie as she is an integral part. It's a shame they didn't keep the kiss the same but maybe they felt it was so important they didn't want anything to distract from it. Oh the last film is going to be soooo sad!

I'm guessing the R/H kissing scene will either be in the RoR or the CoS. I think it'd be better in the CoS because it would be a nice change from the RoR where every major kiss has taken place! :P

As always, it is impossible to explain a scene the way Jo does in the books and due to changes in the past (for example: S.P.E.W was never even mentioned in the films) certain scenes have to be made differently. True, I don't see why Harry couldn't be present but after all, changes have been made in HBP and still it turned out awesome. So I suggest that people chill and let the directors do their work.. after all it might turn out even better than in the books ;P

the wedding must be awesome after description of fleur being very very very beautiful......

But why oh why do they insisting on changing the big kisses? Harry's and Ginny's was soooo wrong. I can only imagine what this one between Ron and Hermione can be. I'll be afraid to watch.

Isn't anyone else upset about the change in the R/Hr kiss??!!!

They're probably going to make it all quiet and romantic like Harry and Ginny in the ROR but that's so stupid! The R/Hr kiss is this big dramatic almost cheesy (but in an amazing way!) release of the emotions that have been building up over 7 years, imagine Hermione running down the Great Hall in COS only with a kiss at the end!

I knew they would have to alter it at least slightly because they didn't include the house-elf thing but come on!! I am really angry right now GRRRRRRR!!! It's just so out of character, the whole point of their relationship at this stage is that they just need one last push to get it together, not a 'romantic' moment in a dark, damp, cold room with a decaying snake corpse in it.

Sorry, I should really stop ranting but for goodness sake! Grrrrrr...ok I think I'll go and lie down now :lol:

On a happier note, I'm so happy Imelda is coming back! :loved:

I'm so Excited about the Kissing Scene and a bit dissapointed that they are not going to maintain the Kissing part as the book... I really wanted Harry to be there and become part of the "finally" new couple.

All these questions really make me want to see DH very soon! I'm curious to see exactly how the kiss scene will play out and I wonder if Dumbledore's past will be explained clearly. It worries me that they've got Hermione just reading out of Rita Skeeter's book. Hopefully it'll be thorough.

Seems like it will be a great movie. I wish they would have introduced Bill and Charlie earlier in the movies. But at least Bill will be in this one finally. YAY!!:voldie1:

I'm really excited for this! People who have not read the books will probably need to then if they don't want the confusion.

Although, some don't read them because they claim that they would just be disappointed if they read them then watched the movies.

I'm sort of disappointed that the R/Hr kiss had to be changed but yet I knew it had to be because the S.P.E.W plot line has been removed.

But no matter what, I'll at least be happy to see them finally kiss on screen though I really hope it's longer than the H/G kiss in the HBP movie and that it's not extremely awkward. I have been waiting for this moment for almost 10 years you know!

Its just to bad that they have to change some parts:(....but I know it will be great, Just like the rest! :-D

It's great that Umbridge will be played again by Imelda Staunton. She is just perfect for the role.

This is all wonderful information, I am still not done watching the 6th movie (have seen it 12 times) but am so excited for the next two, and am so happy that they are splitting the booking into two movies. I am sad that the kiss will not be the same as what is in the book, but I was sad that Harry's kiss with Ginny was not like it was in the book but I got over it. BUT SERIOUSLY HARRY AND GINNY'S KISS ONLY WENT FOR 3.5 SECONDS AND HARRY AND CHO'S WENT FOR 30 SECONDS! I WAS DISSAPOINTED A LOT!
