A few days ago we got in touch with Hamilton Hodell, the agency that represents Shirley Henderson, who plays Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter films. It has been confirmed to us that the character hasn't made it into Half-Blood Prince. Quote:

How much more are they gonna cut from the book? But I guess Moaning Myrtle may not be the most important..

omg!arent they ever filming the sectumsempra scene then?it's soo impt!wht abt the potions book scene?snape?they simply must put it in!omg....i rather they took out other scenes-burrow etc..

Well, I guess she didn't have a huge role in the 6th book. She should still be in the movie though, the part she does have is pretty dramatic. O well, I didn't think Dobby could be cut from OotF either but they did. We just have to wait for Nov. 21! (Starts counting down)  | |

Well, I like Myrtle but I don't think her participition is really necessary, I mean I would prefer to let Myrtle out than other stuff....but now I'm wondering...and the sectusempra thing??

I can't believe Moaning Myrtle isn't going to be in the movie. I think that is so unfair. They could do that bathroom scene without so much gore. It's completely possible!
