| | |  Equus Broadway site launched, new cast member announced
The Equus website for its Broadway run has now been opened and can be seen here. From there you can read about the show, read about the cast and crew, look at times & prices and read press reviews.
With it comes a new casting announcement for the play, in which Dan Radcliffe & Richard Griffiths (Vernon) star. Kate Mulgrew will portray Hester Salomon, the compassionate public official who begs Dysart (Griffiths) to take on the boy's (Radcliffe) case.
Previews begin on September 5th, with opening night set for September 25th at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York. The 22-week run is set to continue through to February 8th, 2009 and will be directed by Thea Sharrock, who also did the West End run in London, England. | |

its great the Kate Mulgrew will join the cast. That there is another excellent actress. Dan is ridiculously lucky with acting mentors, getting to work with these greats onscreen and onstage.

We did think that maybe Dan is in New York helping to audition girls for the role. So far they've maintained he will perform 8 times a week (probably to ensure people buy tickets) but I think his understudy will have to fill in some dates in November.

Daniel is quite the accomplished actor. He is definitely making the statement that he is able to perform well in roles that are very different from Harry and on the legitimate stage as well as on file.
