| | Emma Watson: "My biggest fear is getting stereotyped." The Times of India has a new interview with Emma Watson in which she discusses her role in the Potter films as Hermione and how that may affect her career in the future. Note: The article quotes Emma swearing. However the profanity does not appear in the original newspaper article (which can be viewed here.) Quote:
"My biggest fear is getting stereotyped. I want to do other things. I would hate to have another actress in the role (of Hermione). There is so much of me in her. Of course, JK Rowling wrote the character, but, in film terms, I had a part in creating her".
Quote:
"I am very careful to separate the two — there is Hermione, there is Emma. There is a professional life and a private life. I never mix the two."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Fiona Renée Oliveraux | Emma is so grown-up, it's hard for me to handle. It makes me feel old. But really, she's gone through a lot growing up in the spotlight and I think she's come up quite well, considering. She seems to be a very responsible, sweet girl.

I read this article on Mugglenet, and i was kinda surprised when Emma said f**k twice, she never seemed like the kind of girl to use those words *i'm not saying i'm not!*. maybe it was just a part of what she was trying to get through. by saying something Hermione would probably never even utter was her way of saying "See, me and hermione, we're DIFFERENT!" but what it meant to me was "i'm going to use stupid words in a magazine, for the whole world to see! then what will they think of me?!" i realize that they're teens, and everyone (as emma says) f*cks up, but really!

Stereotype, she's a stereotype of your typical teenage girl pfft. Teddy: Careful all the stereotypical teenage fangirls on SS will jump you. Ottery: You say that like it's a bad thing. *winks cheekily at Ems*

It's difficult not to stereotype an actor when a certain character is all their known for. Hopefully once HP is finished she'll get the chance to prove herself in other areas.

Having been in that position(sort of) I really admire her. I will say, though it was good to hear her say she would hate to have another actress in the role of Hermione. Now if we can just (officially) secure Rupert......lol Emma is a great Role-Model and probably a really good friend.

she did not said the "F" word, for some weird reason in the online article edited the wrong way with the "F" word but in the actual newspaper you don't see the "F" which sounds more like Emma.

Nice article. Its nice to see that she is down to earth. And I think I would be saving up that money to...nic retirement money
And she can do other acting I think that qould be awesome! i would see any movie she was in. Same with Dan and Rupert. But I will always rememeber them as the trio and made my favorite books come to life |

i really like Emma in the role as Hermione. but she is a very cool-headed person and i really don't think she would be saying the "f" word.. it just isn't her style.

I dont blame her for being worried, but i think people do that with the best actors and actresses only. And who cares if she used the "f" word, i'd be pretty frustrated if i thought i was being stereotyped. Though Ron, and Hermione, are my favorite characters, i think she is the best actor of the three. She shouldn't worry about being typecast

If Tom Baker could be Dr. Who for 7 years and he worked after that I don't see Emma having any trouble, after all she will only be 21-22 ? by the time the movies run their course...plenty of time to branch out
