As a die hard Emma fan, I pray that Emma gets the role, but my only problem with it is that filming the movie might take conflict with OtP! I'm sure that Jamie Lynn would do fairly in this world but I think that Emma has the experience of acting different emotions required to play the role of Bethany. Jamie Lynn Spears is known mainly around the television circut and I'm not sure that a girl who plays a teen going to a boarding school would have enough experience with drama, and so many ranges of emotion to play the leading role. Lets all keep our fingers crossed so Emma can get the role. GOOD LUCK EMMA!

For either actress, it's going to be a physically demanding role. Do either one of them know how to surf? It takes a while to be good on a surfboard. On some scenes they will be able to use a stuntwoman. On others the person playing Bethany will have to get up on a board.

If the Emma or Jamie have never surfed before, they are going to have to take surfing lessons before they start the movie. Also I think Jamie looks more like Bethany, but I think Emma will do a good job if she gets it. I hope it doesn't interfere with the filming of the remaining HP movies.

I heard actresse Sara Paxton is also up for the role and I think she looks more like Bethany than Jamie or Emma. As far as acting goes I think Emma is the best. I honestly don't think Jamie Lynn can act and Sara's good but I think Emma's the best out of the three. I don't know what this would do for her career but she should probably get another role outside of HP soon if she wants a lasting career...at least IMHO. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. It would be cool to see her with an american accent though...and as a blonde surfer. Yeah this role would be a big jump from Hermione that's for sure.

Well, I am sure that Emma would do wonderful in that picture.

Oh my goodnes! I go on holiday for 3 days, and this happens. This is her first ever thing other than HP isn't it? They are bound to choose her over the Spears girl, or it'll just be another Crossroads! Good good, can't wait for more info.

Anywho, I just think its cool that a movie is being made. I remember very well when the attack happened. I was watching a news briefing that was with her older brothers. Two of them were normal and all, but one was really funny. he got a kick out of being on tv. Hamming it up for the camera. hehe. I really don't mind who would play the role of Bethany but for all of you saying she should just play herself, #1 she's missing her arm already and there would be plenty of shots before the attack had happened, #2 she's not an actress or might not want to play the role herself, and #3 she's sixteen now. It may not seem like a big age difference but girls grow up and change lookwise a lot in just a few years. I give Kudos for Emma wanting the role. You can do a lot with make-up and hair fun. Also, I wouldn't mind of Jamie got the role either.

Perhaps Bethany is not talented as an actress. Nothing against Bethan of course, but some people just aren't cut for the role.

And Emma may like something that is challenging. I don't necessarily see it becoming a big box office hit, but if she wants to go for it, go Emma! I think it would be fun to learn to surf.. It's one of my goals. ^_^

Jamie Lynn spears? Oh no...please no! Emma...hmmm maybe, but why not get this Bethany to do it instead?

I really couldn't c emma playing her or jamie lynn. I think emma should b doing other things. Leave these types of films 2 ppl who r used 2 them. Plus Bethany doesn't have an accent. But whatever, we'll just have 2 find out

I think she should take it! The others are doing other things so she should do other things too. Or at least have the chance for them. She is a better actor than Jamie-Lynn Spears! I hope she gets the role!:yes:
