It's pretty cool tho There was just a rumour going around all of the main movie sites that this was the 'first look' at Cuaron's Dementors so since I am following the production of PoA, I thought I'd post it

This photo was photoshopped(made by someone) and has nothing to do with the potter film series. In affiliation with the website the theonering.com. It is from the lotr films ( wraiths) and was only changed a little.

It's fake but its fun to dream a little of they will look like.

This is rather disgusting. This image was created, as Lumos mentioned, by our own Dumbledore! The image has been circulated as a "first look" at Cuaron's dementors, when it is, in fact, an image created using Photoshop!

Dumbledore has no objections to having his image posted, but he would like credit for his work, and wants to make sure that it is not masqueraded as a first look at the dementors in the movie.

I think it looked creepy! It really felt like it suck all that happiness out of me! It's really cool though. But I always imagined it with no hands or face...kinda like those Blakc Riders or whatever you call it from LotR (I kinda forgot...)

And I agree with Scot Girl... It IS distgusting, it gives me the creeps like I said... weird, freeky, creepy, and distgusting yessss ... ahah

After the whole news post that Dumbledore made I can't believe someone goes and posts an uncopyrighted version as new news. It just makes me laugh.

Well, whoever posted the pic linked from my site even went so far as to copy and paste what I wrote about the pic. Personally I think it's just a pic of the LOTR Black Riders without all the effects that make them look otherworldy. Even the background in the image looks rather like Weathertop, but it's hard to tell.. - that's exactly what I wrote on my site about the pic.

And for the record, I'd never even heard of this site until Lumos, from here, commented on my article telling me where the pic really came from - which I appreciated and have edited my article to give proper credit to Dumbledore for creating a cool pic. And I've enjoyed looking around here, snitchseeker's really well done

Seriously, are some of you morons? I mean really, DO YOU EVEN READ? 90% of the posts in this thread tell you that the picture IS FAKE, and was created by Dumbledore of Snitch Seeker FOR FUN. It's NOT from TheOneRing.net as I not so kindly told my contacts there when I set them straight in more ways than one. It's people like you who look at things without understanding them or reading anything who spread stupid rumors and get yourselves into trouble. Honest to God....

Actually, I think he was just trying to point out the fact that many people neglect to read threads before posting, missing several key points. You yourself, M. Mcgonagall, posted that the image had something to do with TORN, when in fact, that site was mislead itself, and hoped to report "breaking news" by calling it a fake, without doing ANY research into its origins. Typical for TORN. Anyway, that's not the point. The fact of the matter is, that we all DON'T know where the picture came from, and who made it, which was made obvious by several people on this site.

Please don't be patronizing. It makes you look bad. But hey, let's not take ourselves too seriously, eh?

I have no objections to you posting it on your site, AS LONG AS THE COPYRIGHT IS INTACT!

In other words, remove the image you are currently using, and replace it with the correct version WITH the copyright.

Otherwise, you can just remove it from your site alltogether.

I will do so, thanks. But just so you don't think I removed the copyright - I didn't. I took the pic from Aint It Cool News (Harry Knowles big film site) and there was no copyright printed on that image. As I said, I had not even heard of snitchseeker.com when I saw the image, read the article, and posted my own article on my movie site.

Anyway, should be sorted out now. Weird thing this Internet lark eh? Rumours travel fast

The pictures on (thepictureshow.org) are fake. On an officail HP website say they are frome Lord of the Rings.
