French movie site Allocine has listed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II to be released May 1, 2011. It is unclear if this release date is only for France, or if it is the slated date for any other countries, including the US and UK. Please regard this as a rumour, especially since the first of May falls on a Sunday, until we hear confirmation from Warner Bros.

That's part of the reason but they also have to work around the actors schedules - Dan & Emma have projects right through to the end of this year, meaning Deathly Hallows can't start shooting until spring 2009. However writers have been back at work for about a month now.

and the second part has been confermed for may 2011 that is the month they are aiming for but things can happen to change it

Well as exciting as this may be, it's also kinda sad when I think of how old I'll be. I mean it's 3 years from now. Just imagine where we'll be.

I love the Idea of Deathly Hallows being two movies.
I like the thought of watching the first half and it ending on a part where your wondering, "Whats going to happen next?"
The lot of you are complaining about the release date but TRUST me It'll be here before you know it. When I was in Middle School in 1999, the year of my college graduation seemed so far away, and this year is the year and now that I look back, everything happened so fast!
So just be patient I'm sure It'll be well worth the wait.
