The British Academy of Film and Television Arts
announced the very long list of potential nominees for the 2011 Orange British Academy Film Awards, including several technical awards for
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, and acting nominations for some of the stars outside the series.
Deathly Hallows: Part I is currently long listed in the following categories:

• Editing
• Special Visual Effects
• Costume Design
• Sound
• Production Design
• Cinematography
• Original Music
Actress Helena Bonham Carter is long-listed in the Best Supporting Actress category for two different films:
Alice in Wonderland, in which she plays the Red Queen; and for
The King's Speech, where she portrays Queen Elizabeth. Miranda Richardson (Rita Skeeter) is also long-listed in the same category as Helena, for her work in
Made In Dagenham. Finally, Jim Broadbent is on the long list in the Best Actor category for
Another Year.
The final nominees, cut down from this long list, will be announced on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. The Orange British Academy Film Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 13, 2011 in London. We will have more later this month.
