It seems kind of strange to me that DH1 did not get nominated for any more prominent BAFTA prizes. Nothing for acting? Directing or writing? Nothing for cinematography? These are the British movies awards, for goodness sake. You would think they could show a little love to one of their more successful films.

I am happy that Helena is getting numerous nominations this awards season for The Kings Speech. Such a great movie.
But to be honest, I think the lack of nominations for DH1 might be because, lets face it, it wasn't as good as any of the previous movies. Personally I think that the last three movies have not been the best at all. Certainly with OOTP being the shortest movie out of the whole 8, when the book is the longest. Shame that the end of the HP franchise had to be this badly ended.

Well, Inception's more likely to win Visual Effects and Music. But then again, Deathly Hallows I was just a build up to II.

Seriously, this kind of attitude brings me like several miles down the Earth's core =(
I'm also very frustrated at the lack of recognition for the series! =( It makes me lose faith in it to be honest!

That's brilliant on the nominations! I really hope Deathly Hallows wins, along with Helena and Alexandre Desplat. His scores are phenomenal, and her acting is impeccable.

The movie was brilliant, and I'm sad to see it snubbed for Cinematography, Score, and Art direction. Very disappointing Quote:

Helena Bonham Carter is a great actress and she plays Belitrix Lestrang verry well. Though I wish it was Alan Rickman nominated.
