Deathly Hallows cast & crew pay tribute for Remembrance Day on Hogwarts set
This past Tuesday marked Remembrance Day in the UK, where many people around the country stood in silence for two minutes at 11am to show respect for those lost during World War I and subsequent battles. The cast and crew for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows were no exception to this. One of the crew members, called Jamie, sent a text to BBC Radio 5 Live on November 11th, stating the following:
Quote:
We're currently filming the final battle sequence of the last Harry Potter film, and we stopped for two minutes this morning. It was very eerie. It was thought-provoking, in the mists, along the ruins of Hogwarts.
The audio can be heard on the BBC's website here (skip to about 1:51 hours), or listen below:
sorry to be picky, but it's in rememberance of soldiers lost in all conflicts from ww1 until this current day. And taking photos during the two minute silence would, i imagine be deemed inappropriate.

Aw, thats very sweet... Are they allowed to give details about what part of the film they are filming? Anyways, it's great to know they are filming the battle sequence (if it is the one I am thinking about).
Jain- depending on where in the world you are it's in Remembrance for different things. Where I live we have a day called ANZAC day and that is when we celebrate and remember the dead lost from all the wars while on REMEMBRANCE DAY we only pay tribute to the soldiers that died in WW1.
But it was very considerate of them to pay tribute to those soldiers that died in the conflict and shows just how conscientious all of the cast and crew are when it comes to days of importance to the world.
