* Dawn French to now appear in Narnia Films - actress who played the Fat Lady in HP Summary:
Dawn French, a well known and well respected actress/comedienne has now landed ehrself a role in the upcoming Narnia films. Article: Dawn French to now appear in Narnia Films
Dawn French's role in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban may have been no more than hyped up cameo, but her prescence in the fantasy setting seems to have had an effect on the producers of the upcoming new adaptation of the Chronicles of Narnia in particular The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe which is to be filmed and released first.
She is to play the voice of Mrs Beaver and the movie is due out in late 2005, a possible rival to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. And, much like "Harry", there are plans for all of the Chronicles of Narnia to be adapted to screen.
Billed at IMDB in 24 films, French has been the voice of many films over the last 20 years. Her most recent role, according to IMDB, is "Fat Lady in Painting" in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
The New Zealand Herald writes that "To add body to her visage, the film-makers will use the same type of computer graphic imaging that was a hit with Gollum."
For more information on the upcoming Narnia film, visit here or check out the article which is featured on the actual Narnia website here.

Plot Outline: Four kids travel through a wardrobe to the land of Narnia and learn of their destiny to free it with the guidance of a lion messiah. That is not the first book...
The first one is 'The Magician's Nephew' I do hope they keep it in..its just as important as the rest!

That's very good, Dawn French is a very talanted actress and she cracked me up in "Azkaban" with that whole glass thing. I enjoy the Chronicles of Narnia, althought I thought they where already a movie, is it just a re-make?

So yes they're being re-made.

That is brilliant news, I love Dawn French, and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe was my all time favourite book as a child. I must buy those books actually, they were fantastic, but C.S. Lewis annoyed me sometimes, he was a very intrusive author times, but the films should be good, got to be better than the BBC adaption they made, because that was awful! |

They should be amazing what with the graphics and effects these days. And it's set to be a feature film so I expect no expense will be spared in the making of it.
