The Observer has a new interview with David Yates, wherein the Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince director talks about how he got the job and the meetings he's to have with J.K.Rowling about the sixth film. Quote:
He finished Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix just five weeks ago and is already in pre-production on its follow-up, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. He seems genuinely to have no idea if he will direct the final film; not surprising given that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows isn't published until next month.

It's really great that JK is going to really consult with him greatly on HBP. I love the direction he's taking HBP and I really hope he's a fantastic director once I see OOTP.
