| | David Yates confirms two nude Harry scenes in Deathly Hallows
While it was announced earlier this week that Daniel Radcliffe would be appearing nude in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, more information about the scene has been released. Director David Yates, from the set, informed La Vibra that Dan doesn't get nude just once, but twice in the last installments, mirroring Harry's state of undress in the book. Quote:
"Well, Dan (Radcliffe) has appeared nude in the past, but there are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we're still thinking about how we present it.
"It's a fascinating scene in which Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) are trying to kill a Horcrux (a magical creature). It tries to defend itself and creates an image of Voldemort's soul, that has a series of images where Harry and Hermione (Emma Watson) are kissing and embracing. And we will create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about a reaction in Rupert (who is in love with Hermione).
Quote:
"There is another scene in Kings Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene he will also be naked," he added.
Yates also mentioned a new scene added to the films, where Harry and Hermione are dancing (presumably after Ron leaves): Quote:
"It's very difficult to find a favorite scene, but something we just did as part of the movie truly is priceless. It's a scene where Hermione and Harry dance together and is not in the book - it's something we created for the film and is actually very tender, very nice and respectful, and they also reveal some secrets about each other while dancing," said Yates.
David discussed Dan, Rupert, and Emma's possible long-term career plans, from his perspective: Quote:
"Daniel will probably continue acting or directing. Rupert, definitely in acting, and Emma, if she wishes, could be a movie star or whatever she decides to be because she is very talented and very intelligent."
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be out November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011. |

I swear people get there knickers in a twist SO easily! With just a few words! From only one interview!!!!!! Yes, THANK you! I was saying earlier that I didn;t think the interview sounded very authentic - in fact, it doesn't sound like Yates at all. People, let's wait for a real confirmation from WB or an english video interview with Yates instead of referring to a poorly-translated and probably misquoted article by some obscure 'news' source!

someone may say, you can't expect them add nothing new in three hours movie or you can't expect director to exactly follow the book~~~~understandable~~~however, can't they at least present something with clear storyline or make sense?? for example HP3 added a lot of new things into the movie and looked awesome~~~~but in HP7 with H/Hr dancing~~doesn't make any sense at all!!!
And here they go again, one of my friends already said she'd defiantely not watch DH~~~~may lose me as well if they continue doing so~~~

So r/hr don't dance at the wedding, which is IN the book. But h/hr dancing is added to the film? Oh, that's fair. *rolls eyes* That's what really ticks me off. They gave their dance to H/hr. Actually, they've given a few things to H/hr.
And if it's to show Ron's jealousy like some people are saying, then WHY wouldn't ron BE there, witnessing them dance? It's like a slap in the face to ron, and showing that H/hr are ok and can be happy without him is FALSE. They should be miserable FFS. They barely even talked to each other after he left, why are they freaking dancing? harry and hermione would not dance anyway, and they're not as close as the movies make them seem. R/H are the best friendship in the books really. And as for these "secrets" they BETTER involve Ron/Ginny and not some BS about how h/hr used to like each other because that was never the case. Plus, it would change the damn plot. The viewer is supposed to see that it's only in ron's mind that they like each other, not that they like or ever liked each other. "She's like my sister, always has been though you knew" hello!
ok rant over. |

I like how he described a Horcrux as "a magical creature." Haha! Definitely not. But I suppose Horcruxes are rather complicated to explain.
I don't like that there's an added dancing scene with Harry and Hermione. I wish that they'd just stick to the book.

Its not a big deal and what if it is a scene that ron is seeing in his head because of his jealousy

It was a waste of time and they could have used that time to explain more about the Horcruxes) I am a big R/Hr shipper and Harry and Hermione dancing = no. Are they going to be randomly dancing in the tent? *confused and a little annoyed at the thought of another new scene* i agree with you 100%.... 'nuff said.

Great balls of fire, this is getting ridiculous. EVERYONE is being so presumptuous with regards to the dance scene. Nobody said it where it was, and nobody said Ron and Hermione wouldn't dance at the wedding either! And as far as what's relevant to the book, when's the last time the filmmakers listened to the fans with regards to what THEY want to see, rather than the studio heads who write their paychecks? But seriously people, C-A-L-M D-O-W-N. Everyone is getting their knickers in a bunch over something that, compared with some of the fairly blasphemous additions and deletions to the films when translating from the books, is pretty minor as far as I'm concerned. Why do so many people care about a dance between Harry and Hermione, yet I didn't hear anywhere NEAR this much of a stink when Tonks and Remus got cut down to one scene, the Burrow was burned down, the Gaunts and Hepzibah Smith were left out, the Dursleys were left out, Harry and Ginny's kiss was a grade-A FAIL!, Dumbledore's funeral, Bill's attack, the backstory of the Marauders, Marietta Edgecombe, Neville's role in the prophecy, the botched revelation of who the HBP was, Fudge meeting with the British PM, not getting to see Snape teach his DADA classes....should I go on? Because IMNSHO, these scenes that were deleted and changed around were of far more vital importance to the entire septology of the Potter universe than a single scene of Harry and Hermione dancing in circumstances we're not even fully aware of yet! ![hair pull](https://www.snitchseeker.com/images/smilies/hairpull.gif) ![hair pull](https://www.snitchseeker.com/images/smilies/hairpull.gif) ![hair pull](https://www.snitchseeker.com/images/smilies/hairpull.gif) ![>:/](https://www.snitchseeker.com/images/smilies/mad_smile.gif) ![>:/](https://www.snitchseeker.com/images/smilies/mad_smile.gif) ![>:/](https://www.snitchseeker.com/images/smilies/mad_smile.gif) :arg::arg::arg:

a new scene??? I have never been more excited about added scenes??? Dancing? that should be cool... I love H/Hr relationship...i love how confusing it can be... I am SOOOOO lokking forward to this...to DH in general of course...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
I has to be while ron is gone...that is when in the book h/hr are close and interesting together...when i read the book i felt the tension so now they are taking it to the screen with some added details...also when ron is there they are the TRIO when he is gone they are a duo and they dance and reveal secrets to each other...it makes complete sense...at least to me
Maybe it will be around christmas...they are alone in the woods, depressed, lonely, sad, stressed out...all of that contributes to their closeness, to their realtionship, yes at the end is only Friendship...but well... there is a point in the story when they are each others only thing in the world, there nothing else apart from each other, because of what they are doing and going through...i like it...i love the idea of it all...

I don't remember this much nudity in the books. As long as we don't see "anything" I really don't care. If anyone wanted to see "Harry's wand" THAT badly, they would have seen Equus.

I was hoping that they would make these movies actually close to the books but I guess not! TWO nude scenes AND dancing with Hermione?! Why the HECK can't they just get a good director to make the movies close to the books and just stick with H/G and R/Hr?! I don't believe it!

Wow. You must really love H/Hr. Hah. But they barely even talked after Ron left. Harry himself said he loves Hermione like a sister. Quote:

I'm extremely angry at the lack of information on the Horcruxes! So this new scene with Harry and Hermione is just being added to my pile of Angry Thoughts. We don't need a new scene. There are more important things than a dancing scene. Seriously. But again, I may end up liking this scene. Just gotta wait until I see or until Yates talks about it. I do hope it'll be brought up on the Live Chat they're doing...

Yates also mentioned a new scene added to the films, where Harry and Hermione are dancing (presumably after Ron leaves):
it's going to be part of the wedding, just dancing between two friends and talking about Ron and Ginny

harry is a bad boy, nude scenes!
that's a little out there, i mean dude this is harry potter
but harry & hermione dancing sounds really nice, i mean they're best buddies
they need to have a moment together, but how would they fit that in?
ron's just so left so hermione is upset, so maybe he's trying to make her feel better,
that's what i'm guessing
well the speculation also makes the movies more fun

The King's Cross scene... maybe, but the other invention still bothers me a lot. I really don't find the point other than a very distasteful publicity stunt, which the film certainly doesn't need.
