| | |  Daniel Radcliffe does Parade magazine (UPDATED)
Daniel Radcliffe has a new photo shoot and interview featured in the new edition of Parade magazine. An online preview can now be seen, including four new photos. The pictures can be seen here;
In the interview, Dan talks candidly about his time on stage in the play Equus; Quote:
“From the moment I walked onstage, I could hear them talking and getting very excited,” Radcliffe recalls, shaking his head. “Then they started talking to me: ‘Dan! Dan! Look over here, Dan!’ ” He pauses. “I’m not somebody who particularly gets angry about stuff like that. In my professional life, I rarely get angry at all. And yet, I came offstage seeing blood. I was so furious!”
Quote:
“I didn’t set out to shock people. I set out to do something different from Potter. If I had wanted to shock people,” Radcliffe says, “I would have played, you know, a gay drug dealer. But, equally, you have to tread a very fine line. If, say, my next film was another fantasy film, everyone would just go, ‘Well, he’s not stretching himself.’ Then, if I played some drug dealer, everyone would turn around and go, ‘Oh, this smacks of desperation to stop being typecast.’ ”
He also touches on the similarities between himself and Harry; Quote:
When his mother read the sixth Harry Potter book, he remembers, she noticed that “Harry argues in the kind of irritating, pedantic way that I argue. She thought Harry and I were getting closer and closer together at that point.”
Dan also broaches the subject of his love life, which has earned some media attention; Quote:
“Girls my own age are not really an option,” he tells me. “I find, generally speaking, they have to be entertained more than older girls do. So most of the girls I have had serious things with are generally sort of in their 20s.”
He speaks honestly about the fortune Harry Potter has earned him and how that puts him at an advantage, in terms of his career; Quote:
"What it does in terms of my career, which is how I like to look at it—it gives me the thing that George Clooney has, where he can go off and do a big-budget movie like Ocean’s Eleven, make a lot of money for it, and then go and do stuff that won’t pay as much. It gives you room to maneuver, basically. It means I can relax, and I think that’s the best thing it can do. It’s one thing in my life that I am incredibly fortunate not to have to worry about. Money will never be the focus for me. That’s not how I’ve been brought up.”
Dan finishes by mentioning that he has now moved out of his parent's home; Quote:
A few months ago, Radcliffe quietly moved out of his parents’ house and into a place of his own in London. “It’s a bit weird,” he admits. “The first few weeks you’re getting used to living alone, which is bizarre, but I really enjoy it now, actually.”

This is a totally different side to him I must admit and its kinda sad to see how much he has really grown but he really has grown which is shocking (a bit). When he first talked about the performances with the girls calling his name on Conan O' Brien, he seemed to laugh about it but I guess he should be angry. I mean I would be furious too. At least he was able to joke about...good old Daniel.

'In DH he is very fit too, but he has to wear clothes that look like Dudley's, which can be misleading.' i think both Dan and Rupert have filled out, but, it sure looks like muscle and suits them both. However Dan stilll seems to be able to fit into his old old leather jacket , which he wore to the cricket a couple of weeks ago.

At least he was able to joke about...good old Daniel. i notice that about him, he tends to mask his true emotions about something through humor. remember that man-kiss incident last year? his knee-jerk reaction was shock (it was plain to see in the video), but he quickly picked up a clue to play along, and what was the first thing he said after that? a funny quip.
i've never known a straight bloke who wouldnt feel angry over being blindsided that way, let alone in front of a crowd. but his PR staff made it appear that he took it in stride and didnt mind. took it in stride i'm sure he did. didnt mind? not a chance in hell. he just didnt want to make it into a bigger issue than it was.

We are so lucky to have such a handsome actor for Harry Potter. I love the last two pictures. I think I almost fainted!  I also can't wait to move out. It's like it gives you a sense of independence.
