Post Dan Radcliffe talks Half-Blood Prince in new interview (UPDATED)

The Sun reports that in a new interview with Empire Magazine, Daniel Radcliffe compares Half-Blood Prince to the 1996 film Trainspotting:

Quote:
“There’s a fair amount of sexual energy and drug parallels. We have a couple of Trainspotting moments.

“That’s two films I never thought would be mentioned in the same breath.”
There is a brief comment from director David Yates, who talks about the opening sequence of the sixth film:

Quote:
“We’re opening with a big attack. We’ll bring a major London landmark crashing down.”
The article also has a new photo of Dan attached, which can be seen in our galleries:

Thanks to Amy and Rose for the tip!

UPDATE: The Mirror has an extended comment from the one Dan was quoted as saying in the above-mentioned article:

Quote:
"There is a fair amount of sexual energy and there are some drug parallels. We have a couple of what David Yates, the director calls our 'Trainspotting moments'.

"There's a great balance. The light parts are lighter than before, and the dark parts are extremely dark."
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince hits theatres November 21, 2008.

.... I really hope that the similarities to Trainspotting are merely exaggerated in this interview lol.

Other than that, I like the idea of begining with a bang. This way the movie is essnentially following the book but also catching the attention of the viewer right away.

Shakespeare had to add in a few deaths to get the approval of the general audience in his time and I suppose the same goes for todays audience and explosions.
