| | |  Dan Radcliffe & Nat Tena to star in Agustina de Aragón biopic?
A new article is stating that Harry Potter actors Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) and Natalia Tena (Tonks) may be attached to the upcoming biopic on Agustina de Aragón, a Spanish heroine who defended her country during the Peninsular Wars (the Spanish War of Independence) against Napoleon in the 19th century.
Nat is rumoured to play the lead role of Agustina de Aragón, while producer Max Montalvo wants Dan to take on the part of a young Lord Byron, the famous English poet.
About the production, Mr. Montalvo revealed that: Quote:
"We are hoping to shoot the film this year in either Lithuania or Malta with a couple of weeks in Zaragoza on location," adds Montalvo. "But we've been told Radcliffe is not available until 2010 so we might have to wait. Hopefully if Tena says yes, he'll want to take on the role as well.
Please treat all of this as a rumour until more information is released.

Dan's a little too lively for Byron, but a good enough actor to play the role. He's a little too busy, though, so who knows what'll happen.

I hope Nat waits for Dan and these people wait for Dan! It might feel a little long but its already '09 so its not too far!
I would LOVE to see this if it happens with Nat in the main role and Dan in there too. They're both amazing

Sorry, gotta do it... first to post!  Actually, I know this is not a rumour. And how? As Agustina says on page 40, "Bring the finest brandy in your cellar and I shall explain." - I am the author of the screenplay in question. Now obviously I should not really be saying anything at all, but, yes, those scheduled, including Tena, have been approached. The film itself has, sadly, had incorrect information published about it, forcCalling it a "biopic" is like calling a Rolls Royce a "car". This is a fast-paced swashbuckler action/adventure set in a world of spies, pirates, bandits and intrigue - a sort of Indiana Jones meets the Three Musketeers - sword fights, battles and action in every frame. Although I am only the writer, I am delighted at the rapid progress that my producer, Max, has achieved indicating the great level of support out there for this project and am in full agreement in the development of his casting. And, as far a Tena is concerned, I have no doubt that should the role become hers and she accepts, this will be a major step in her transformation to A list star.
