| | |  Christian Coulson talks Harry Potter
BBC Norfolk has a new interview with Christian Coulson, who portrayed young Voldemort in ' Chamber of Secrets'. Amongst other things, he expresses a desire to return for ' Half-Blood Prince'. Quote:
"I hadn't read the books until I auditioned. They saw about a thousand people, in the end they got down to three and then they camera tested me and that was it," said Coulson.
"Of course it was exciting. The part really chimed with me when I read the book and I felt very strongly there was something I could bring to the character.
"When the sixth book came out last year [Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince] he's back in it and I felt those feelings again," he added.

Wow that's like so so cool. I think he's wicked! He brings the evilness of the Tom Riddle onto the screen. OMG and he's hot too.
I think that it's so wonderful to hear him say that he has that desire to portray Tom Riddle still after reading he is to be in the movies again. Well it's early stages but to me I think it looks likely!

By the way, I asume Voldemort had a different appearance before he lost his body after attacking Harry.
So Ralph Fiennnes is after-Harry Voldemort
And Christian before-Harry Voldemort

They can make up Christian to make him look younger (they did that to make Christian Bale look younger for "Batman Begins" and Shirley Henderson as Moaning Myrtle) -- and he's really good at playing Tom Riddle. They'll have to cast a younger actor to play the kid version of Tom in the orphanage, but Warners can call Christian back for the scenes that involve the post-graduation Tom (they'll save a lot of time and hassle to do that than to try and hire another actor). If they can make Shirley look 18 years old, I am confident they can do the same for Christian.
When they start filming for HBP, it'll most likely happen in the middle or close to the end of next year. So we won't have to wait that long to see if they'll bring Coulson back.  | |

Oh wow, I do hope they have him back for HBP! He was perfect as the young Dark Lord, it's just too bad we saw little of him in CoS. HBP is far off, but I hope they won't consider re-casting the role!
