| | |  Casting report for Half-Blood Prince
Despite no director having been announced for Half-Blood Prince (although David Yates is considered likely to return), casting is apparently in progress for the film that's due to start shooting later this summer.
Specfically Icelandic actor Jón Páll Eyjólfsson (another photo can be seen here) is believed to have auditioned for the role of Young Voldemort (although the actor himself would not say which part he was being seen for). Quote:
“Everything is in a very sensitive stage but it is certainly exciting and it would be great if I get the role,” Eyjólfsson told Fréttabladid.

“I have met the people who are behind this film and I have read from the script. At this stage you only get to see parts of the script and there is a lot of secrecy about this whole thing,” Eyjólfsson said.
He has apparently had call-backs and will get a final decision in May as to whether he's cast or not.
Eyjólfsson graduated from a London stage school in 2000 and was at school with Steven Kloves (who has written films 1-4 and 6), who suggested he go for the role.

I definitely think David (Yates) should return. He did a really great job on the 5th one. I know it, even if I didn't see it.
The actor sounds great. It seems like he had had some experiences at London with Steven Kloves.
I can't wait until the results comes out for the casting.

Yeah, Lissy love I agree, his big forhead/receding hairline is a bit scary... I think he'd be perfect for Morfin tho, with a bit of make up to make him look more not-completely-there-in-the-head-ish.

I agree that this Icelandic actor could be great choice for Morfin Gaunt!
But I would definitely prefer Christian Coulson to come back and play Tom Riddle. I loved him in CoS and I am sure he would be equally great as a-bit-older Voldemort.
Anyway, for the 11-year-old Tom they will have to get a boy, I guess.

yeah, I can picture the guy being like, the Gaunt son (I can't remember the name...) or even the father Marvolo (if that's his name... it's been awhile since I've read the 6th book).
Yeah, the guy that played Tom Riddle in CoS should be young Voldemort... that'd be better
EDIT: And I do think David should direct movie 6 cause he seems to be doing great so far! (forgot to add this Important too...)
